First ever match i am attending \o/

Gotta win. GOT TO. 2-0, Ruud with both of them so i can shout "RUUUUUUUUUUD". Same team as Sat i'd expect.

I'm seriously nervous about this one. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

depor? lol, trash em 2-0 im sure about this <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> , so clam down both of u

If the squad can carry on their never-say-die-attitude, there is no reason why we cannot beat them! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

somehow i'm not so worried about this one. it's a home game isn't it? Deportivo is not as strong as last year i believe (from what i've heard) and so i think we'll be able to take advantage of that esp during our good run of form.

Go United!

Me too. We need to approach every game as if it's a banana skin. Caution and concentration.

Good Luck Man Utd!

Be Careful!

Hope we don't get over-confident, with the recent wins, but I think we should make it, 3-1 (lack of european experience in the defence is the reason depor may score)

COME ON UNITED!!!! ;)

I find this a very hard game to predict because depor are so unpredictable in the mo.
They are a strong team...and they make me nervous...but im nervous at all top matches so its nothing new. The ref will make a difference...because we are not going to be able to takle them like we did with Arsenal....Euro refs are not the same as British refs..any type of contact will stop the game. And we all no that Depor will be dropping like flies if their even touched.(cnuts)
If i have to predict...then Its got to be a United win. Infact if we get an early goal...i think we will destroy them. and i mean destroy them big time.

Who's going to look after Valeron? Hopefully he's still not match fit.

phil neville if he plays, if he doesnt then i dont know hu else can. im sure he will play tho after saturday.

Who reckons that he will play Beckham? I think that he will play him.

I think in light of the recent results a draw against Depor would be very good.

Ill say 2-2.

Ruud and a late Beckham (sub) goal.

(If we win this game it would be feckin amazing but we need to be realistic).

In what capacity?

Tinkering with a winning team could damage morale.

becks should be playing..

my team would be:

GK barthez - picks himself
RB g neville - picks himself
LB silvestre - needs to pick victor's run
CB blanc - his experience gives him the edge
CB brown - who can drop him?!
LW giggs - no other alternative :p
RW becks - should be up for this game
CM p neville - VITAL. stop valeron, and u'll stop depor
CM veron - superb in CL this season
FW Scholes - SAF's favourite hole player in CL
FW RVN - must play. should break cole's record of 18 CL goals. (contrary to what many people thought, ruud is still 2 goals behind cole's 18, as the 2 he scored against the hungarian team during the qualifying round is not counted as CL goals) <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

As much as i hate to say, OGS & O'Shea might be dropped to the bench, which is quite unfair given their fantastic performance against the arse.

i m predicting a 2-0 if phil shackled valeron :D
2-1 if phil gets the job half done. :)
2-2 if phil failed his marking job. :(

Wisdom would say - 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' Our players over the past couple of weeks have done nothing to merit them benching them. Starting David Beckham does not sound something correct to do, according to me. Beckham should be inched back into the team. A substitute's appearance is what I would give him on this night, perhaps for about 20 minutes. The same goes with Laurent Blanc. I think Mikael Silvestre and Wes Brown are doing a simply marvellous job - absolutely no reason to tinker with that either at this time.

In brief, the same team that outplayed Arsenal to play on Wednesday.

Should stick with the team that beat Arsenal. Ole has done enough to keep his place on the right. Becks should be on the bench first, and then come in when the situation needs.

i feel ppl r getting too confident abt the match after the run we have heard in the last few weeks, but we need to keep our feet firmyl on the ground. Depor beat both bayern and milan away. which isn't a mean feat. hence we should be wary about their counter attacks n shut down their creative midfileders. Their main man will be makkay and tristan who have been in sizziling form throughout. Both need to be kept out of the game for utd to impose any kind of dominace over them. If p neville can keep up the solid work and veron can continue on with his fine form in the CL we should perfom well.

Go RED DEVILS&gt;&gt;&gt; <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

i think it'll be the team that blanked the arse. SAF will making a point with Becks that even though you're back you're not in the starting 11 automatically.

It would be ridiculous to give Becks a starting spot after being out and since the team is gelling really well.

I say 2-1 or 3-1 us with Veron, Giggs, and Solskjaer getting our goals (Giggs only gets one if United hit three haha) <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

"I'd go for the same team as we had against Arsenal, except Phil would be dropped to the bench, Scholes come back into the midfield and Forlan partner Ruud up front."

Great idea let´s reward the MOM against Arsenal with a place on the bench.
I would stick with the starting XI from the Arsenal game. Becks must be happy with a place on the bench today, come on as a sub and earn his place back. The same would be the case, if Keane, Blanc and Rio would be fit today. I wouldn`t start any of them today.

I think that becks Keano and Rio should be forced to play in the Reserves for a couple of weeks to really sharpen their appetites! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

According to the papers Valeron is not fit and Irueta (the guy that broke Beck foot??) has not travelled cos they were expecting dogs abuse if he played and it would uspes the rythm and morale of the team. :D Stick with the same team that beat the Arse and then at least the bench is stronger if we need to change anything.

Isn't Irueta the coach of the team? ;)

No returning players should play tonight, its far too important a game to make changes, that can be done against West Ham, who we should Hammer. :D <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" /> ;)

We'll do well to keep a Clean Sheet tonight. Valeron pulling the strings for Tristan and Makay has looked a potent force this season.

Still we have Phil Wonder Neville <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Same team to start as Saturday. Beckham to come on later.

3-1 RVN(2), Becks (last minute free kick!)

West Stand for me :D

I've got a bad feeling that we are in for a City style panning tonight. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

4 and a quarter hours to go , the nerves are slowly setting in as usual. I might have to get the bong out for this one. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />
