Ctrl and R together

So Far // Goalflashes and major incidents:

H/T score: Man Utd 2-1 Barcelona

37 mins: Nicky Butt beats the offside trap and his low cross into the area is met by an unmarked Forlan, who casually side-foots home his second goal of the game.
Man Utd 2-1 Barca

31 mins: United skipper Roy Keane blazes his shot from outside the area high and wide.

26 mins: Forlan scores his third goal of United's pre-season tour, heading home a perfectly-weighted Giggs cross to level the scores.
Man Utd 1-1 Barca

21 mins: Ryan Giggs nearly forces an equaliser for United, but Barcelona's keeper does well to scramble the ball to safety.

15 mins: A mix-up in the Barcelona defence presents Diego Forlan with a clear sight on goal, but the Uruguayan striker over-hits his chipped effort.

11 mins: Ronaldinho, who's every touch is booed by United's fans, sets up Kluivert who makes amends for his earlier miss with a for a clinical finish.
Man Utd 0-1 Barca

7 mins: Barcelona's Patrick Kluivert finds himself one-on-one with Tim Howard, but the American keeper makes a terrific save to deny the Dutch striker.

1 min: Barcelona get the match at the 66,000 Lincoln Financial Field stadium in Philadelphia under way

HT 2-1.

Our fullbacks have looked very good (again), but Rio and John are not doing too well so far. I'm not sure if John's ever going to be great as a CB, and we need his attacking abilities on the wings.

Fletcher's looked very good in midfield, with lots of good passes, and I've noticed he has a knack for getting into the box. I think he's going to break through this season. Keano and Butt putting in good tackles and working well together. Keano's getting forward a lot more tonight than against Juve.

Diego's obviously been great so far. Two well-taken goals and some great movement. Giggs has been his usual sharp self as well. Scholesy's been quiet.

For Barca: Jar-Jar's been disappointing on this tour. He has been all but invisible tonight. Kluivert's been their best so far, and Saviola's given us some trouble, though he's not been as outstanding as against the other teams.

..don't forget barça will only begin competition in one month, while you begin in 2 weeks ;)

physically you finished better...its quite normal

Howard looks strong and confident again. Kluiverts goal was unstoppable, pretty much as Nedved's was.

Which part of "feck Off" are you having a problem with?

Think both teams will bring out the subs in the second half. They'll go down. We'll go up. Bring on the Ruud but leave Diego on there with him

Should've bought him.....

He's class....

Can play upfront and behind the striker...

....And I'm happy we missed out on Ron. ;)

Without watching the game, I agree. O'Shea's defensive game still needs to be developed, for a centerhalf anyway. As a fullback his ability to mix good defending and good attacking already make him a very good player, but he still not nearly the complete article at centerhalf.

Remember, after a couple of tries he was permanently moved to a full back role during the game in Basel, when we were a goal down and sturggling defensively. I think it's a waste to disregard his attacking abilities which isn't much use from the center.

Probably just a case of what we have in the US, and we only have two centerhalves left along with Keane.

The Chinese link is working great and I've got a good picture, although the commentary is weird. My girlfriend is hitting me in the head wanting me to say that Spainish people are cheeky! She's a Barca fan who went crazy when they scored, but guess who's got the last laugh right now.............if we can only keep it up! damn, she just smacked me in the head while reading this...........ow! damn good thing she is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He'll be an awesome keeper....

still a touch raw.....but he has immense potential....

I think his reflexes are faster than Peter's!

barça will sign 2 more players: heinze and a striker

rustu

puyol,marquez,anderson,heinze

xavi,(motta/gerard)

(quaresma/saviola),(ronaldinho/henrique),(overmars/garcia)

kluivert/???

here is the team

actually that's not cheeky. typo!

I think we're looking good and definately are the better squad. Our boys are playing some attractive attacking football and Tim has just been chilling in the back. He's made one mistake on distribution and there was nothing he could have done about the goal. Go United!

I think a big discovary is Quinton at left back, he can play pretty much anywhere down the left now, leftback, central midfield, left wing.

I agree with the above about JOS. he is just covering up for Mickey. Although I would like to see Fortune at CB .
