He said it on Wednesday. I was doing an interview with him (appeared in Friday's paper) and he mentioned that we had made enquiries about Defoe the day on Monday afternoon.

Bellion should not have had that call go against him...he got to the ball first...the resulting free kick...and the BEST DAMN SAVE BY TIMMY I HAVE EVER SEEN...that was a sure goal against any other keeper save Buffon or Kahn...and I don't know if they would have stopped the shot...WOW... :eek:
