Who's going?

Sounds like it'll be mad over there! I'll be watching from a pub in England though. Early team news:

Ronaldinho is struggling with a calf strain but Escude and Mexes should start with Rustu at the back. Howard though has been benched because he spoke out of turn in the dressing room (sorry).

Cheers destro - are you going to be staying with your mate in Stamford when you're down here for the games? If so I think that a trip to the Thirsty Turtle (formerly The Art Bar) is in order

We'd best avoid The Playwright then as I think that temptation would get the better of any man in there ;)

You aren't taking her to the football are you? <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

i am of course! she went to uni in manchester, owen's park. has a class scarf from '85 or thereabouts, amazing how cheesy they look these days comparitively! but yea she's gone to a couple of games before, and actually met the italian/portuguese/irish squads at the u.s. cup in the early 90s. photos of her and mick mccarthy and terry feelin' had me laughing

some mates of mine may have tix for this match - $35 ones. not anything really good left. let me know if anyone needs tix.

How many people from England are expected to be there? Will United songs be ringing through the stadiums, or will we hear something along the lines of "Let's go Man Utd, let's go! (clap clap)"?

No, its going to be packed out with Yanks waving the stars and stripes and chanting "USA, USA, USA". The 3000 coming over from England are all gonna be Yanks coming back from their holidays ;)

3,000 are making their way accross from England.

I've just got an email confirming that there is a ticket for me for the Barca match in Philly coming over with the lads from England.

Thursday morning - Sunday night on the piss then

I'll be there.

You're already halfway from Manchester to New York, its as close as you'll get to United playing a home game for you

;) </strong><hr></blockquote>

So i´ll almost be there ;)

The last time I saw the reds was in their Australian tour in 99. The atmosphere in the game was great, all the ex pat United fans on the piss. The atmosphere in the ground was SHITE, the ground was full of Australian "soccer" fans and the MCG makes a crap football ground.

Juventus' probable lineup:

---------------------Buffon---------------------

---Thuram---Legrottaglie---Montero---Zambrotta---

-----------Tacchinardi---Davids---------------

-----Miccoli--------__Nedved---------Del Piero---

-------------------Trezeguet--------------------

New players: Legrottagle, Miccoli and Appiah.

I have a feeling that Juve will play very attacking and attractive football next season.

I suppose so.
In case of Juventus it seems a pretty balanced and qualitative team.

Daisy, what is it with you supporting two teams?

Usually kids decide which team they support when they're 7 but you seem to have kept your options open.

Itie twat.

I think that sounds like a plan - I was thinking that I'd get there about 1.30pm

destro - are you getting the train down from Stamford? We should sort it so that we're on the same train and take some bottles
