THis is more fecking like it! :D

Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud.
Again Mickey on the left does the job, passes to Forlan who was either trying to pass or score, got to Ruud who scored <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

RUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!

Another 2 goals from open play. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
Forlan hit fast to Ruud who just turned it at speed unstoppably into the net. This is the Real Manchester United. There's only one United!

finally we find our killer touch
hopefully we dont come back out and sit back
before the game you could get 20-1 on a rudd hat-trick

Playing 4-4-2 with Scholes in midfield and no Veron equals = 3-1 at half time against Newcastle.

Great performance, hope we can keep it up for the next 45 minutes. We should be 3-up. Newcastle dont deserve their goal and Bernard should have put it out of play when O'Shea was hit in the face. No fault on Fab's part, just one of those freak goals. The first was fantastic, second owed much to good determination from Silvestre (who had a hand in the third as well) and the last was just a taking the piss. Our defence has been solid, our midfield has looked suprisingly good without Veron.

I'd take that bet now! Looking red hot again, how we could do with another 7 consecutive games scoring run. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Good stuff, we looked lively, played some excellent football, especially in the last third... ruuds held the ball well, Ole's had a good game, he's actually attacked the wing.. so that blows away the myth that SAF has told becks to play in the centre.. Blancs been solid at the back.. and ginger has totally ran the game...

bet, that'll please the muppets ;)

ole's made a diff, by stretching the game.. unlike becks and giggs who drift into the centre.

agreed, today emphasizes the need for width. We should definately play this side for a few more games to see what they can do.

I wasn't going to mention that.

Well not till Murt gets back anyway. ;)

Early days and it can still go wrong - but this 45 minutes shows what we can do when we play an attacking team.

How come you're not at the game? He's totally changed the team, Scholes Fortune is a new central midfield pairing instead of Veron Phil, also he's gone 4-4-2 and put Forlan up front. And Beckham is out with Ole actually having a better game than him there. But there's something far more important, all the players are really trying hard, great performances from a lot of players.

I caught an hours sleep at 7pm but have been awake for hours. This performance has made it all worth it though. :D

Our back 4 having a superb game at the moment! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

It wasn't O'Sheas fault that he got floored - the ball should have been put out of play or play stopped by the ref.

2nd half coming up, catch you all later when hopefully we'll be celebrating a much-needed three points and a hefty confidence booster. Come on United! :D

All the players improved greatly in the 1st half from the last match against West Ham. This time, the attack is more balanced and the spacing is much better. Ole is superb on the right, providing much more width than in the past many games, at some point, his threat in the right is even larger than that of Beckham. Hopes all players can keep on the great work, and keep on attacking in the 2nd half. Keep on defending the lead is not good, and proved in the last few games. A great win can give us huge confidence in dealing with the following patch of difficult matches.

Bingo. We've got WIDTH in this game!! And the players are really snapping into the Newcastle players, not giving them time anywhere on the pitch.

yep, we're more hungery... i think, the last few weeks have gave them a kick up the backside... we haven't played like this for ages in the PL.

It makes a big difference, to have players attacking the corner flags, ole's done a top job, maybe becks can take some advice.

No it's not his fault..I think our defender have been great limiting those barcodes to how many shot? 1?

Manchester United 3-1 Newcastle United - HALF TIME MATCH REPORT

SIR Bobby Robson welcomed back Craig Bellamy into the starting line up for the lunchtime clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Hugo Viana's absence saw Olivier Bernard handed a role on the left side of midfield, while Nikos Dabizas was back in the team due to Stevie Caldwell's suspension.

Manchester United were missing several key players through injury, and Sir Alex Ferguson selected an attack-minded team with van Nistelrooy, Solksjaer and Forlan all in the starting 11.

Manchester United had the first real opening of the game on four minutes when Solksjaer broke down the right flank, but O'Brien did well in the middle and got the ball away with Forlan lurking.

Griffin then did well to clear the danger after Giggs had turned Hughes and threaded the ball into the danger area, the Scholes flashed a 10th minute drive just wide after more good work from the Welshman.

Manchester United were looking the more dangerous in attack as the game approached the 20 minute mark, but United were defending well and Given dealt well with Giggs' corner after a good spell of pressure from the hosts.

Manchester United took the lead with 24 minutes gone, with Solksjaer showing great skill on the right to get the ball under control, and after he skipped past Hughes his centre was fired home by Scholes from 12 yards.

Scholes then tried a delicate lob four minutes later after good work from Giggs and Fortune, but Given stretched to gather the ball above his head.

The Old Trafford side were well on top after breaking the deadlock, and Solksjaer caused problems again when he whipped in a cross but Giggs could not connect and the opportunity to double the lead went begging.

Newcastle got back on level terms in bizarre circumstances on 34 minutes when Bernard got the ball out on the left, and his attempt at a cross drifted straight over Barthez and in off the back post.

Given made a good save to deny Forlan as Manchester United tried to get back in front, and he then showed good reactions to smother at the feet of Giggs as he tried to latch onto the loose ball.

But it didn't take the Red Devils long to restore their advantage, and it was van Nistelrooy who headed home from clolse range after some good play on the left by Silvestre on 38 minutes.

van Nistelrooy then thought he had beaten the offside trap when he raced through to Scholes' through ball two minutes before the interval, but a delayed flag stopped him in his tracks.

Wes brown looked to have upended Bellamy in first half stoppage time as the Welsh striker tried to race clear, but the referee ignored appeals for a free kick.

And right on the stroke of half time van Nistelrooy tapped in his second from four yards after Forlan pass across the box.

CMON UNITED, UNITED, UNITED, UNITED......... <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

This back four does look our most solid for a long time. they played well at West Ham and well so far today. Wes looks as though he's come back a new player.

<img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> 2nd half on the way!

I think Chadwick can do that too, he did the other night. Ole's assist for Scholes was just like one Chadwick did to Davis in the reserves. A lot of credit has to go to Fortune, he's taking his chance well and is more convincing than Phil Neville as he closes down more. With Scholes alongside him he's not the only one doing that and isn't overworked and dragged all over the pitch.
