FAO Danish United fans. Who the feck are FC Copenhagen ? Are they good ? I just know that they eliminated Ajax..

Best team in Scandinavia but United should beat them quite easily.

Here you can see the players:
http://fck.dk/truppen/spillere/

Guess you recognise Allbäck, Grönkjær and Lindroth. They are their best players and all played in PL (I think). I think Grönkjær is injured and Lindroths wife should give birth any day now, so he might miss the game...
Doesn't really matter as M.U. should walk this one...

---------------Kusczak-----------------

Brown----Ferdinand-----Vidic-----Evra

Fletcher----D.Jones---Scholes----Richardson

-----------Smith-------Rooney---------------

Rest Gaz, Saha, Carrick and Van der Sar

Play Rooney to build on his Wigan performence, D.Jones to get a first team opportunity.

O'shea for Scholes, Ole for Fletcher, Saha for Rooney in the second half

4-0, hopefully Smith, Rooney Ole and Saha

:D

Christiansen: Very good goalkeeper - his reflexes are great and he's nr. 2 choice for the Danish national side. He lacks a bit of aerial ability though.

Jacobsen: Right back - Also a part of the Danish national side. A very good right back, both when going forward but also when defending.

Bergdølmo: Left back. Slow as feck, and their weakest link imo.

Gravgaard: Also in the national side (first choice along with Agger in the central defense) He's a monster in the air - both when defending but especially also on corners and such.

Hangeland: Forms the central defense together with Gravgaard. He's 1.95 m high and therefore also a great weapon at corners.

Linderoth: Their engine in central midfield. He's without a doubt their best and most important player.

Silberbauer: He can play all of the attacking positions in midfield. One of his strengths is his dribbling ability (Though no Ronaldinho)

Hutchinson: Central midfield together with Linderoth. He's got great speed and power, and is one of their absolutely best players when he's having a good day.

Berglund: He's very fast, though not very sharp in front of goal.

Alback: You all know him. Great attacker.

We should be able to win quite comfortable. We should however be careful at corners – they score a lot of their goals from corners with Gravgaard and Hangeland being a handful.
Jacobsen and Ronaldo met in an international friendly a month ago or so. Jacobsen had a pretty good hold on Ronaldo.

My comments are not very detailed - this is mostly because my Danish team got relegated last season and therefore the second best Danish division got my interest now instead of the 'Superliga'.

I expect Ronaldo to play against Bergdølmo though.

@ TOP.Do you know a guy called Stieg Tofting ? Where's he ? Has he stopped his career ? I read his biography... wat a unlucky guy:( :( . Although he has never played for us , I rated him. Great defender.

Yes I know him quite well seeing as I support the club where he began his career, AGF. He's being considered a legend here because of his love for the club.

Right now he's playing in the Danish club Randers, and he'll probably end his career there.
He would have loved to end his career at AGF but unfortunately he made some mistakes outside of the pitch, and the current sponsors and board members don't want to see him at the club again.

He even offered to play for free to help the club last season - we were in the relegationzone. We said no.
Now we are in the second best division and he's playing in the best with Randers.

ps. he's a midfielder ;)

No he is an excellent finisher...
Played with him in Elfsborg (Sweden), so I know him pretty well (or used to). Not the best technic, but very fast and a good finisher...

I don't think Ronaldo'll be out..

--------------VDS
----Neville--Rio--Legend--Evra
Fletcher--Carrick--O'Shea--Ronaldo
----------Rooney--Saha

3-0 Sahasahasaha

I'm only judging him from his time in Danish football with Esbjerg and FCK.

He was a good finisher when he played for Esbjerg, but he has not been for FCK. He has missed the most obvious chances and it usually takes him 10 big chances before he scores.

True. He hasn't been sharp since switching to FCK...

You think FCK will play with both Allbäck and Berglund? or get an extra man in midfield?

liverpool game coming up five days later, but I want this team.

........Rooney...Saha................
Giggs..Carrick..Scholes..Fletcher
Evra...Vidic....Ferdinand...Brown
...............VDS......................

Subs:

if Neville and Ronaldo is back, then Brown out for Neville in 60:th, and Ronaldo in for Giggs in 60:th of minute, and Solskjaer in for Saha after 65-70 minutes so we have fresh legs vs liverpool.
Giggs and Ronaldo would defently be fresh vs pool and Scholes had a international break, and Carrick needs games, so does Rooney.
I think we should be carefull with Ole and play him in the right games so he will be fit for the big games.
MAYBE Kuszczak instead of VDS.

I think this team would be good to start with, what do you think? ;)

2-0 United. Rooney and Giggs.

----------------VDS-----------------

They are decent defensively but struggle in attack. They haven't created a single chance in their first couple of games because their midfield are made out of two O'Shea's and one Fletcher-on-the-right-type of player. Then they got Linderoth who's their best player (Gronkjaer is out injured)

They're the best team in the Danish league but we'll beat them quite easily I suppose.

Damn - André Bergdølmo won't participate in the game because of injuries :( Would have loved to see any of our wings (Even Fletch) against him.

Their second choice for left back is also out with injury, so basicly they don't have any left backs for the game. :boring:

VDS
Brown Rio Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Scholes Carrick Giggs
Saha Rooney

4-0
Saha, Ole, Ronaldo, Rooney

1. Rest as many key players as possible.
2. 1:0 from this match will be a very good result.

Anybody think it will be a sell out on tuesday

Unlikely, tickets are still on sale on the United website and on ticketmaster.

Hope it will be a convincing win. We need all the confidence we can get, if we plan to win the title. Fletcher to score the opening goal.

Bad news guys. Just looked in the TV guide for ITV on Tuesday...

"Commentary by Peter Drury and David Pleat, with analysis from Andy Townsend."

David Pleat! :(

At least your getting to see the game on tv whilst i'll be watching from my laptop. Celtic happen to be on tv up here which is rather annoying.

Although I'm against tinkering, squad rotation wouldnt be the worst thing for that game, especially with the Pool game coming up

11-0

Saha, Rooney, Scholes, Ronaldo, Giggs, Carrick, Vidic, Rio, Heinze, VDS, Neville. All in that order. That's right - Van der Sar will score before Neville.

there won't be any swapping and changing cos saf knows how important it is not to feck our european campaign up - esp after last years debacle against lille in paris!!

the team that finished against wigan may well start.

vds
oshea--rio--vidic--evra
solskjaer--carrick--scholes--giggs
rooney
saha

that way, we play a strong team to get the job done, and gaz and ronnie do not have to be risked and can be fully ready for scoucers on saturday!!

i totally disagree we need ronaldo and gaz to have some sort of match fitness - 20-30 minutes will not do them any harm and it might give them that bit of extra sharpness for scousers

Whilst Im really desperate to finally see Carrick, Scholes, Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney and Saha all on the pitch at the same time, I do think Fergie may rest one or two players thinking of the Liverpool game.

Maybe leave out one of Giggs or Ronaldo and maybe Saha.
