we started off brilliantly.....but can't say I enjoyed the second half that much. Still, first game...new players.....nervous keeper....not bad result at all. One away win...only 4 more to go to equal last seasons aways wins isn't it????

Big win. Might only be the first game of the season but we needed to capitalise on others dropping points and it was a hard fought result. First half we were brilliant, the passing, movement and overall fluidity of our attacking play was terrific and we should have scored more goals. Credit to West Brom who defended better in the second half.
De Gea will be criticised but we need to give him time. Young was excellent, Rooney played well and I thought Cleverley did very well as well. Rio looks to be out for a few weeks which is a huge loss, hopefully Vida will be fit for next week although we do have some terrific options to cover CB.
