Fellaini couple of flicks in the last minute!

Sensational cross from Rafael. I hope we can end all this talk about buying a RB this summer.
We need another RB, we need a decent back up. Would you rather we keep using SMalling or Valencia when Rafael is injured or suspended or needing a rest?

Alright guys, don't you dare try and tell me Fellaini has been shit today. He's been silky smooth. (as well as big and clumsy but that's par for the course when you buy the BFG)

Fellaini has been great at doing the simple things to get our forwards players more involved. Encouraging to see.

But context shouldn't matter, right?

Personally I don't think literal interpretation of the rules works, and I don't feel they're enforced like that either. But if a goalkeeper screws up a clearance and is only saved from a pretty certain goal by handling the ball, intentional or not, "play on" doesn't seem like the right call to me. A red card doesn't seem right to me either though, fwiw. Free kick seems right? Yellow too, perhaps?

I'd agree that a free kick and no sending off seems fair but you have to apply the rules as they are.

Personally I'd like to see the way handball is dealt with to make it more clear cut. I don't know how you'd go about it though.

We really are a better team with only one of RvP or Rooney playing.

I think that goes for a lot of the rules in football though, referees take a lot of flack simply because the laws aren't black and white.

A fair question. My reply is that I see very good things in Varela.

Further, we have more pressing needs and I assume our transfer budget is not unlimited.

Such a big difference have Rafael at right back rather than Smalling. He has been the creator of both goals, winning the free kick with some fancy foot work and then sending in the cross for the second.

Our team actually seem to know where they should be playing since RvP has gone off.
Most of our best performances this season have actually been without one of them on the pitch, maybe RvP leaving wouldn't be so bad... right?

Yeah for sure.

Fan bias doesn't help either, I'm convinced if De Gea had done that there would be a lot more people claiming that it has to be deliberate for it to be penalised. But you'd expect that from fans to be fair.
