Team should be...

GK: PIG

RB: O'Shea
CB: Smalling
CB: Evans
LB: Fabio

RM: Obertan
CM: Fletcher
CM: Anderson
LM: Giggs

CF: Hernandez
CF: Rooney

Subs: Amos, Brown, Gibson, Scholes, Nani, Park, Macheda

Hope we take this seriously otherwise what with West Ham's result today we could be going out :nervous:

---------------Amos

---Brown---Smalling---Evans---Fabio

---Bebe---Gibson-----Eikrem---Obertan

---------Macheda------Hernandez

Kuszczak

Brown
J Evans
Smalling
Fabio

Obertan
Fletcher
Anderson
Giggs

Hernandez
Macheda

SUBS: Amos, Neville, O'Shea, Park, Scholes, Bebe, Rooney.

Rooney will probably be on the bench for this. Hope to see Anderson get another start. Giggs and Scholes shouldn't be anywhere near this, we'll need both at Blackpool fresh.

Not really bother about the result. Blackpool away far outweighs it(remember Burnley)?

West Ham's immediate priority is the league so hopefully they play a weakened team. Still think we could beat their first team with our reserves though.

By reserve team you mean players that don't feature in the first team? Impossible! Eg. Gibson and Eikrem as central partnership would never do!

I could see:

-------------------------PIG---------------------
O'Shea----------Smalling------Vidic----------Fabio
Obertan---------Carrick------Scholes--------Giggs
-----------------Rooney------Chicharito----------

With the likes of Bebe, Gibson and Macheda coming on early.

Nah dont think it will be that strong not with the calender of games weve got coming up, Rooneys played two full 90 minutes in the space of 3 days and whilst he still is working his way back and needs games i dont see him starting in this one, i think he'll be on the bench though and definetly play some part, i expect most of todays team if not all to be rested ahead of the Blackpool game which will be a tough game.

Giggs

Macheda
Hernandez

Something like that id guess, Giggs needs the match time i think Carrick will be rested after he to has played two full 90 minutes in 3 days and along with Scholes saved for Blackpool, i dont see us rushing Scholes back from a groin injury to face West ham in the kiddies cup.

Not that different from mine except for Vidic and Rooney. I thought Fletcher was injured, otherwise I'd put him in there ahead of Carrick too.

Fletcher was surprisingly on the bench today, i think given Carricks last two matches and Scholes slight injury Fletcher and Anderson are the likeliest and freshest pairing for this, maybe Gibson will get a game though.

As for the defence i just think Fergie is using every possible opportunity to get games into Smalling and Evans, i think this sort of game like Rangers last week he sees as ideal opportunity.

Or Giggs instead of Bebe and Obertan shifts to the right.

Agreed, but I don't think we'll see the likes of Bebe, Eikrem, Gibson and Macheda all starting together as some have predicted above.

True, it will be a tough game as it is, and i think well no i know Sir alex will want to win and fielding those names all together wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.

As usual a mixture of youth the sprinkling of experience and players needing games would be the safest bet.

I'd guess something like:

29 Kuszczak
06 Brown
23 J. Evans
12 Smalling
22 O'Shea
26 Obertan
28 Gibson
24 Fletcher
11 Giggs (c)
33 Bébé
14 Hernandez

Subs:
40 Amos
15 Vidic
20 Fabio
08 Anderson
18 Scholes
27 Macheda
10 Rooney

PIG
Brown, Evans, Smalling, Fabio
Obertan, Gibson, Anderson, Bebe
Macheda, Hernandez

We will win 3-1

We tend to go 451 in these games these days, but I'd really like to see Macheda and Hernandez upfront together.

Game raising cnuts

They've been poor against Manchester United recently, they've been dominated by 10 men and a "midfield defence" in recent seasons.

Man United could probably drop their entire matchsquad against Blackburn and still beat West Ham.

Amos
G. Neville
Smalling
Brown
DeLaet
Fletcher
Scholes
Gibson
Fabio
Macheda
Bébé

Probably the worst time this season you could possibly have played West Ham. If you don't put out a proper team, I can't see you winning it in normal time, at least.

1) That team would lose by three

2) Isn't De Laet out on loan?

Again would expect a younger team. Dont want to see Macheda up front alone. Strong bench just in case.

1) They would lose, are you kidding me?

Macheda isolated up top, Amos in goal? No, just no.

You think we would concede 3+ against West Ham? Are you kidding me?

No, just no.

I'm not fully sure if Anderson would be up to starting again, but after having such a good game against Blackburn, he should start and be subbed after an hour so we can bring Fletcher or Giggs back into a competitive game. Carrick and Anderson were great together in the last game, and I think Gibson pushing on to join the striker will lead to a goal at some point. Gibson or Anderson can shift to the right or left wing respectively if we want to go 442 and have Obertan on the other flank. Rooney on the bench if a goal is needed and if he does come on and put a chance away, it can only be good in the long-run.

I hope we win, and I also wouldn't mind us playing an even stronger team... I just don't see a reason for van der Sar, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Scholes, or Berbatov to be involved. As long as there are no complications I think they'll all start against Blackpool, along with Rafael, Fletcher, and Rooney.

They're in a relegation battle which I'm sure they see as more important than the Carling Cup so I'm half hoping they put out a weakened side in light of this. I think whatever team we send out we will have enough to see them off in the end.

You have to be kidding, West Ham would struggle ...though I'd have to replace Fletcher with Eikrim though.

Gibson hatrick!

If it's just the team, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Obertan, Hernandez, Evans, Giggs ... massive improvement, and would dominate West Ham. This team I said previously has more internationals than West Ham could feild on a good day.
