I suppose Zola and Clarke's tactics of keeping him quiet nearly worked...when Giggs got the ball for the goal it was one of the rare occasions he was out on the left...one of those things.

We definatley have something to fight for this season (possible UEFA cup place), so I would hope us to keep this form going against whoever we play.

Have a feeling that the title champagne is already on ice in Ferguson's office after this game.

Credit to West Ham, they made it tough for us, but I still think it was hard game for Manchester United only because of our performance, not West Ham. We were good in the middle, but couldn't create something more when it came to the penalty area. Green made some good saves, van der Sar too.

But, we are the leaders with two more points than Liverpool and one game less played and van der Sar didn't conceded since 8th November or 1212 minutes or 20 hours 12 minutes ;)
 
This was one match that was potentially tricky....glad to get past it with 3 points....has to be disheartening for the scousers to see their late heroics go to waste :lol:

Hopefully 5 points clear by the next time the scouse play.

good to see West Ham playing the type of football we always relate to them....hope you make the UEFA spot....

a word of caution.....you may find it hard to hang on to Zola if West Ham keep this up....

I think it will be 8 points. Our next two games before they play again are Fulham and Blackburn, both at home and I'm very confident we'll win both :devil:

Thanks TD...thought we gave a decent account of ourselves...hopefully bodes well for rest of the season. Should be looking upwards rather than worrying about what's going down in the nether regions...hmmm, see Tottenham are still flailing around down there!:D

Missed the game today as I was in transit on a plane that was late so I missed the game (actually arranged the flight so's I'd be back in time for the game. Fk.
Thread's a good read though, especially all the moaning early on about Goggs and then he comes up with the beef. Will get to see the game later tonight.

Strange how you can get the emotions when you read the thread at the time of scoring. Lived it all with you, albeit 5 hours later.
1-0's not good for the old ticker though, but I'll take them!

Of course he can, I mean he pretty much owns everything in this world anyway, or so our Scouse friends would have you believe, so of course he can see the future.
