Stanislas Parker Noble Collison
Franco Hines
Kurucz Spector Tomkins Kovac Dyer Diamanti Nouble
Very much one for the academy for us with several young players in the squad plus Nouble who refused to sign a new contract at Chelsea.
We've been very limited up front recently so Cole being out for a number of weeks doesn't help. However Hines has looked good when we've seen him (Liverpool and Aston Villa couldn't handle him) but has a tendency to play for the penalty rather than shooting. We have Diamanti back who is our Italian Superstar. I say superstar I mean that in the sense that he can produce unexpected spectacular shots using his left foot, inch perfect 50 yards pass and excellent set pieces but is generally average for everything else.
Franco as been a bit of a revelation since we've signed him, it's just a shame he's not 5 years younger. Then again he's taken to the Premiership pretty well and has scored 3 in 6 so far as well as being involved in most of our chances.
The defence has very much been our weak point this season. Ilunga who was excellent last season has been stop and start this season due to injuries. This will only be Gabbidons third or fourth start of the season (of which not all were at CB) after an 18 month spell out with a back injury. Da Costa is a new signing from Fiorentina, he's prone to the odd lapse of concentration but has generally looked good and feck me can he jump. Right back has been our worst position with both Spector and Faubert struggling.
The midfield has been very good in attack but haven't helped out in defence much. Parker has been immense for our last few matches. Noble is just back after an injury, Collison has scored in his last two games, in the same period Stanislas has scored once but created two. Kovac may keep his place, he is a defensive midfielder but when he plays Parker plays a more advanced role. He's Mr. Average.
Upson, Behrami and Cole are the main injuries for us and also our top defender, midfielder and striker! Dyer is back but is unlikely to add to his 4 West Ham starts, no doubt he'll pull his hamstring whilst putting his socks on.
I think we'll score past you, it just comes down to how many we'll concede. Entertaining football is almost a certainty when visiting The Boleyn (Upton Park isn't the name of our ground

) now days it's just usually the visitors who leave happier.
Good luck
