If we believe what we read and Mourinho is looking at bringing in 4 players who would you go for.

Realistically a combination of these 8 would be fanastic. Although I would be careful with Verratti, PSG might end up with De Gea if we tried too hard!

4th can be a good+ midfielder or a great defender.

Samuel Umtiti said he was unhappy with how defensively Barca played not too long ago, unless I've missed something that's the same as fully ruling himself out from coming to us. I'd love Raphael Varane if his injuries have stopped (on the phone, can't check) and Toby Aldererweireld is another good option.

Wouldn't mind a right winger, but we do have enough attackers of quality, it's just about giving them a better platform in my opinion, which a stable midfield and proper fullbacks would.

90 million for Bale? Big fat no from me to both player and price tag.

Right I'll answer this 3 ways, as if I was a United fan, as a Liverpool fan and what 4 players I want to come to Liverpool :')

If I was a United fan:

CB: Alderweireld (Jones)
LB: Sandro (Young)
CM: Verratti (Mctominay)
RW: Pulisic (Whoever you randomly play on RW)

As a Liverpool fan for United:

GK: Joe Hart (De Gea)
CM: Barry (Pogba)
LW: Redmond (Sanchez)
ST: Borini (Lukaku)

For Liverpool:

GK: Alisson (Mignolet)
CB: De Ligt (Lovren)
CM: Jorginho (Henderson)
RW/LW: Pulisic (for a 4 way rotation of Mane, Salah, Firmino and Pulisic).

Would love this. Similar to mine with that extra mid being Milinkovic-Savic, think two mids is what we really need.
 
Players who've done well with Jose in the past. Willian being the most obvious.

I'm not sure I trust him with anyone he's not worked with before.
 
Clear out: Blind, Rojo, Fellani(purely due to contract or he would be a good option to keep), Shaw(who will probably go on to be one of the best LBs about just not here as the atmosphere has become pretty toxic for him). Carrick is retiring.

Top tackling CM in the Kante-ish mode: Perhaps Ndidi or Gueye perhaps even Fabinho or Niguez
Top attacking LB: Perhaps Jose Luis Gaya
Creative CM understudy for Pogba: Possibly Milinkovic-Savic(can also play in CM alongside Pogba so would still get plenty of starts)
Holding CM understudy for Matic: ?

We need to sell a wide attacker before we buy one and I don't see Martial or Mata going anywhere just yet.

I don't think we need any attackers and Jose already said he's not in for any more attackers. Spend the money to revamp our defence and weak midfield and we're looking set to challenge for PL and go to the latter stages of CL. This team in my opinion is a title winning team but it's probably asking for a lot of money. Maybe too much. But it solves nearly everything.

Messi and Neymar would most likely end up as wing backs or converted into full backs unfortunately.

I’d go with Umtiti, Alex Sandro, Kroos and Bale as my four incoming signings as they are probably the best signings signings that could be made for our problem positions if Bale proved his fitness from now til summer.

Probably won't get Isco, and we won't get two centre backs but this would make me very happy for the summer.
We'd be sorting out the defence, and getting a midfielder to allow us to play with three midfielders like everyone keeps harping on about.
