Squad list according to rednews:

[34] Squad for tomorrow
Friday, January 16, 2004

Howard, Carroll, G Neville, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Brown, O'Shea, Fortune, Forlan, Fletcher, P Neville, Butt, Keane, Kleberson, Giggs, van Nistelrooy, Bellion

No Ronaldo :(

--------------Howard--------------

Gary------Rio------silvestre------Fortune
------------Phil---------Keano------------
Fletcher-------Scholes-------Kleba-------
--------------Ruud-----------------

SUBS: Carrol
John
Forlan
Wes
Nardiello

It can be the perfect day for the subs to play. Maby Bellion, Diego and Roy shuld play from start. Nardiello could also get a few min.
Maby play Wes instead off Rio. Let Wes and Micky get to play together.
The scoreline wil be 0-4 i think. Kleba, Diego, Gary and Daniel.

The left wing is the biggest question, no Giggs would see Ronaldo there, without him I'd play Fortune. Balance is most important to the team, I hate it when SAF plays a right footer on the left, it compacts everything. Bellion should get a start, his pace will replace what where missing from Giggs.

Team would then be

-----------Howard-------------
--Gazza--Rio--Mickey--Oshea--
-------Keano--Phizza----------
--Bellion--Scholes--Fortune----
-----------Ruud---------------

i was realy hoping to see ronny tomorrow. :( real shame. :( is there any chanse that rednews made a mistake? ;)

Someone said MUTV said he was in the squad... so I'm not sure anymore.

Hes not on the squad listed by the BBC, I dont think hes going.

That was brought up but then Scholes isn't in the list and Giggs (who was injured is?).. heard it wouldn't be the first time BBC screws up the squad list...

It's not on FSWC. Or maybe you have the US channel as well?

Anyway, I'll be watching it on the internet probably.

4:30 am sharp here in America on FSW. They better put in a hell of a performance to make a 4:30 am wake-up on Sat. worth it!

I'm pretty sure Butt will be playing if it is his final game. Shame though, if he doesnt get to have his farewell at Old Trafford..

If he plays he's going to be gone within the week. I'm sure there will be no shortage of scouts at the match tomorrow.

C. Ron has already had the little break that SAF promised during the holiday program, so I'd be very surprised to not even see him coming on as a sub.

Howard, Carroll, G Neville, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Brown, O'Shea, Fortune, Forlan, Fletcher, P Neville, Butt, Keane, Kleberson, Giggs, van Nistelrooy, Bellion

in this case

-----------Howard-----------
-----Ferdinand--Silvestre-----
G. Neville--------------O'Shea
-----------------------------
------P.Neville----Butt-------
Fletcher--------------Fortune
-----------Klebersen---------
-----------------------------
---------van Nistelrooy-------

The squad list is funny, because I expected Scholes there, but not Giggsy.

Bellion may be playing instead of Fletcher or Fortune.

Keane may be playing instead of Phil.

Butt will be taken off in the last 10 mins to say farewell.

Forlan may also get a start, ahead of Klebersen.

4 - 0 manchester win.

i say this because they will want to put the Newcastle performance behind them and get back to winning ways. Everyone expected man utd to score alot of goals against Newcastle so this time im sure Ruud will be alittle ticked off he didnt get any goals and would want to complete his 100 goal mark and be the quickest player ever to score 100 goals.

MY PREDICTION OF THE TEAM:

--------------Howard--------------

Gary------Rio------silvestre------oshea

Fletcher------Kleberson------Keane------Fortune

--------------Scholes--------------

--------------Ruud-----------------

SUBS: Carrol
Bellion
Forlan
Wes
Butt

Fergie might even play Butt instead of Kleberson. Kleberson didnt play that good against newcastle but i believe he plays better in the centre mid role or as the AM.

Djemba Djemaba i believe is at the Nations Cup, Ole is injured, Ronaldo on holiday, Phil Neville is suspended for recieving his 5th yellow card against Newcastle, Giggs has picked up an injury claiming he has pulled a muscle on his back.
It will be Rios last game. so the team will want a good result to set their 30million defender off on good terms. He will want to play his heart out.

I think you might be spot on with that line-up. At some point we will see Wes come in as well, with Rio being given the chance to walk off the pitch to a standing ovation. Diego is probably likely to some on at some point as he may well be scouted for a transfer.

----------Howard-----------
Oshea--Rio--Mickey--Fortune
------Keano--Phizza---------
Fletch----Scholes----Ronaldo
-----------Ruud-------------

Ronaldo plays!

Is that the official line-up? If so, I'm disappointed that Butt's not playing. I was hoping he would get one last match (unless that's planned for the next match?). Is he on the bench at least?

Big news Kleberson has been sent back to Brazil on holiday, Ronaldo back and will play today, Keane and Phil start

Howard
Rio
Tweety
JOS
Fortune
Keano
Fletcher
Phizza
Scholes
Ronaldo
RVN

Subs:
Forlan
Wes
Carroll
Butt
Bellion

H-T 0-0. We should be 3 up, and that doesn't include 2 clear penalty shouts.

SAfs got to sort out the aimless crossing - Wolves pair will nod those away all day long.

Could be one of those days... :nervous:

For it to be "one of those days" we need to have lots of missed chances, today, until I think the 45th minute, we had about 1.
It's not a case of being unlucky or whatever.

Pretty shit half. I didn't see one good ball in, either from a cross or from Scholes. Ruud should have scored, but then, I don't think he even saw the ball until it was over the bar and out.

Man Utd's forward needs the defence splitting passes from centre and pin-point crosses from flanks to put ball into net.

the first half was shite...i dont think they were "clear" penalty chances even though ive seen them given before.but its d'urso....what did you expect
