He sent a goodbye message to the Atletico fans. He says he remembers joining his first Atletico (as a 4 year old) how he always wanted to be an Atletico player, how grateful he is to his family, the club and the fans, how proud he was to have won the Europa League and the Supercopa with them and that he'll always be an Atletico fan.
And now he's grateful for the opportunity to play for United and looking forward to it - "I hope you'll be proud of me."

He is suppose to be a "top student". If he can't speak english then, to me he isn't a top student. "Everyone" learns english today, even the french I believe, so I doubt that he can't speak english.
