I hope not cos I think Rafa particularly is quality. What Smalling has for games like this is height. Its easy to forget that City are a pretty big burly team and lil Rafa is not gonna be able to outjump the likes of Toure, Dzeko, Komany, Richards etc. We used to see it with O'Shea being brought into the XI for matches against the likes of Stoke and I think we'll see more of Smalling at full back this year now Sheasy and Wes are gone with Rafael starting against the smaller (size wise) sides.
According to The Times he's sitting this out due to blisters. Seriously.

Still I like the look of the team, apart from Smalling at RB, where I'd put Rafa, but the arguement before is a good one and senisble one. The bench though is a bit more defensive than I would have anticipated, but it's still a good bench.

I would've been perfectly happy with a Da Silva against City but oh well. Otherwise.. would have quite liked to see Cleverley start in midfield and looking forward to some Welbeck, hope he doesn't get bullied by the City defence.
