Leeds United vs. Manchester United

This line-up is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. OK, apart from that Torres miss.

Looking forward to this game very much now, the sheer comedy value should be immense.

Eikrem just tweeted this :D

I don't usually like to moan, but:

- Disappointed Lindegaard isn't playing as he did very well last week in the CL and I thought he'd get another chance tonight.

- Don't understand why we are playing 4 strikers, and obviously two of them will be out of position.

- Who is Fryers? An un-tried reserve fullback playing as a centreback tonight?

Maybe he's lined-up to play at Stoke?

To be honest , my first though was this is not the team SAF is putting out.
I can see he is not taking the Carling Cup very serious.
I can see us winning with ease and Fryers will be a new fan fav, or we will get hammered.

Kasper

He was at OT supporting us against City in the league cup semifinals too

Just... wow! But In Fergie I trust. :) Looking forward to the game.

Remember the line-up against Arsenal in the FA Cup last season?

Never doubt SAF

To be honest I'm disappointed we don't get to see more youth players, rather than 2nd string senior players being played out of position... what does this achieve?

Yeah, but who gives a shit?

I do.

I enjoy it when we have a decent CC run, as it's good chance to see some youngsters against better opposition than they face in the reserve league.

You may not give a shit, of course. That's your perogative. Although I really couldn't give a feck about that, obviously :)

I dont care about the league cup. But if we go out, it'll restrict game time for some of the youngsters. Thats the only negative

Yeah, but who gives a shit?

The cc could be the only opportunity for players like Pogba and Morrison to get first team experience. A good long run in this competition could be invaluable experience for them.

I'd rather not go out to Leeds in a cup competition, again.

I couldn't care less, the thing is a worthless pointless distraction IMO.

I also like us having more matches to watch... livens up the week.

And it's not like it's a distraction in terms of player resources, we've got more than enough players to cover it. In fact, it can be useful to give people playing time. Long CC runs have certainly not hurt is in the past.
