Carrick has been back covering plenty, Anderson is playing further forwards, almost certainly under instruction.
I think we will have a season of dodgy defending every now and then. Can't expect the young players to be great all the time. They will learn from Rio and Vidic

I think Rio has actually been covering for Jones on a number of occasions to be fair.

Last header they had at goal both Anderson and Carrick weren't back covering and just hovering outside the box. One of them needs to decide to track back to cover a bit more to cut some of the chances that are falling to the runners coming in.

Think Jones is still adapting and learning tactically. He is strong technically in defending, but as part of a defensive unit he needs to improve.
Obviously at 19 he's not going to be perfect so can't really have a go at him over it.
