Patience my friend. You will need him when you least expect it.
I know. And that's what I find so terrifying.

Yes, on redcafe.net. In other words, completely meaningless ratings.
That's the embarrassing thing.Give it about a month and we'll be hailing him as the best thing since sliced bread again, with Cleverley being the hero for revolutionising our game.
That's the embarrassing thing.
Because when Giggs passing and flicks don't come off, he still got his basics right, like positioning and defensive duty. When Anderson passing don't come off other part of his game is also awful.I think he's still a great talent but he's one who needs to be surrounded by a certain style of player to unlock his potential, he's better when the ball retention is much quicker. Our ball retention has really bogged down since Cleverley's injury, this means Ando doesn't really have the gaps to pick because our play is so stagnant. He's a pretty aggressive passer as is Giggs and sometimes you can look very silly when things don't come off, Giggs doesn't get anywhere near as much criticism for his passing though.
How old's Ando anyway, 24/25? He's still got 2-3 years before he reaches his peak. Patience people, patience.
I remember him setting the youth world cup alight. Since then, what the feck has gone wrong with him? I get a feeling we'll never see him coming good for us.
He has all the attributes for a potential world class mid fielder but still lacks something.
Just can't figure out what.
Agree.
Despite his potential I still can't believe we didn't buy a damn CM this summer, after SAF himself had said that we must replace Scholes with World Class. It looked like we might get lucky with an Anderson/Cleverley combo but one injury has shown just what a gamble that was.
We're the best team in the league when Ando and his partner play well, sometimes we're the best even when the midfield play average, if only we fixed that area.
I'l be surprised if we actually dont buy someone in CM in the next 2 windows.
I've been saying that for at least 3 windows now.
Agree.

Well, us the fans have always wanted one. But with Scholesy gone now, Sir Alex thinks we need one too considering our attempts to sign CMs last season.
Patience on Anderson fans like me is coming to an end. It really seems that his fitness level is not up to it, he looks clumsy and just unfit. He had a great start and did really well, but midfield is our most important position. To keep up with the other top teams, we need to have consistant quality. If he cant provide that, he will be replaced.
I also wonder what happened to that great talent 4 years ago
Find it funny that he came over as an attacking midfielder, ive never seen a worse left foot in front of goal.
He even took corners on Sunday, surely somebody else can take them.
Id have Ando in the squad, but I dont think he is good enough to start big games.
The level of patience displayed with Anderson constantly surprises me....

What annoys me is how unfit he looks, surely he cant be that unfit?
Wouldn't be the first promising youngster to not fulfil his potential. Im all for being patient but I sometimes wonder does he actually want it enough. Considering hes bascially won it all in his early 20's I wonder is there an issue with his natural hunger for the game.
Just a thought....
You're being TOO harsh there, but it's valid to a certain point.
He was €30m by the way.
