Oh, mama :nervous:

I think its doubtful that Giggs will start considering he played 90mins against Basel and he played 25mins against Villa.

Fletchers been on the bench for the last two games but he's the only choice to partner Carrick considering we'll need Jones as backup for defense.

I suppose the question is who will get chosen for the wing, Park or Valencia and who out of Smalling/Evans will miss out. Jones will play considering his goals recently.

-De Gea-

-Jones-?-Rio-Evra-

-Nani-Fletcher-Carrick-?

-Rooney-Welbeck-

Our bench will be pretty empty, espically if both Young/Berbatov are out.

Code:

Valencia Fletcher Carrick Nani

              Rooney Welbeck

SUBS:
Lindegaard, Fryers, Evans, Giggs, Park, Morrison/Diouf, Macheda

Seriously we have only 17 fully fit first teamers?

I'm expecting more keeper tinkering and maybe even Rio on the bench for tomorrow. Expect to see Morrison on the bench too.

Lindegaard
Jones Smalling Evans Evra
Carrick Fletcher
Valencia Rooney Nani
Welbeck

Not as up for as I'd normally be after Wednesday, I have low expectations and I expect us to squeeze past. Would be nice if we drubbed them and got to see Ravel have a run out.

So how many former Carrick haters are now secretly thinking... Thank god he's back in the team....?

The game we where all dreading. Will Wednesday affect tomorrow. This is our last game for 8 days!

I think a lot of have stayed very quiet over the last few days. Since the 9000 users online.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again. I'd like to see Morrison on the bench, so we can throw him on if we're unable to unlock their defence. It can't hurt.

..............De Gea
Jones Smalling Evans Evra
........Carrick Fletcher
Valencia...Rooney......Nani
..............Welbeck

I hope Fletcher is fit to play, we're going to need him. For my money, I want Smalling and Evans as the CBs when we rotate Rio.

Let's see some entertainment please. This is manchester united, we were meant to excite.

I really want a positive performance. We really need to show some character in this game.

I'd love that team.

2-0 for us.

This game has got that Wigan at home from last season feel about it, can see a real weakened team just to make it that little bit harder. Wouldn't surprise me to see this

---------------De Gea---------------
Smalling---Jones---Evans---Evra
Valencia---Carrick---Fletcher---Nani
---------------Park
-----------------Welbeck

Subs: Lindegaard, Fryers, Ferdinand, Gibson, Giggs, Rooney, Macheda

Rio rested because of the busy Christmas fixture list

Park 'in the hole' disgusts me. No idea why we'd do that home to Wolves when we're already struggling for goals

Spot on this shout. Can't see it being anything else really. Come on boys, a must win game today. We need a good performance to springboard the rest of the season.

That's the team most have gone for anyway. Only difference is some think Rio may be rested.

The bench could be very interesting today. Especially if Young and Berbatov don't make it.

Can we play actual midfielders in midfield for this one, then?

And not an almost 40 year old converted winger, a centre back or a striker you mean?

Well that's just a ludacrous demand I tell you!

People get too hung up on this.

Just because Giggs isn't officially listed as a CM doesn't mean he isn't better than about 80% of Central Midfielders in the league.

Well, I wasn't actually being serious. I've decided to crack more united jokes hence forth. They may or may not be funny.

It's not just you that's brought it up though so most probably are serious.

If Phil Jones can be considered someone who is both a centerhalf and a right back, then Ryan Giggs can certainly be considered as a winger and a midfielder. It's not the role he's made a name for himself at, but he's played it enough times and done well enough. He's very much a midfielder player.

He scores always against Wolverhampton.

And how many of those 'always' happened aside from last season's match at Old Trafford? It didn't happen in any of our other three meetings these past two seasons.

Ravel should get a game vs the team he made his debut against

Hopefully we'll want to show that we're still a force to be reckoned with in this game, and play some great stuff. Hopefully Welbeck will get a start, as I feel we're more fluid in the attack with him on the pitch. Wolves will surely park the bus in this game, and Welbeck might give us the creativity and energy needed to unlock their defense. A part of me would love to see Rooney dropped and Ravel played in his position, just to show him that he has to perform to keep his spot in the team, but that's just somewhat of a dream though. I'd rather see Rooney start, and show him why he should still be concidered one of the best strikers around. Central core of Ferdinand, Evans, Carrick, Fletcher, Rooney and Welbeck sounds pretty good for this game, and hopefully will brighten the mood for some of us who've still not forgotten about the Basel-match.
