As much as I like Lindegaard, I wish Fergie would stop fecking around with our keepers and pick one (De Gea) as first choice and stick with him. One mistake from Lindegaard that costs us points and it's all on him.
I'd rather Rio was rested on Boxing Day too than a potentially tough fixture tonight but the team should be far too strong for Fulham.

Would've preferred De Gea starting. It's a blow not having Rio but hopefully Evans plays as well as he did at QPR. I hope Jones is playing RB not Smalling.

He has picked De Gea as first choice, he just likes giving Lindegaard the odd game to keep him happy.
That's pretty much on the cards anyway.
I can live with the Rio thing as I guess they know how to handle him best. But the De Gea/Lindegaard thing is doing my head in. Why do we need to do that? It's like he's changing for the sake of change. De Gea gets 2-3 league games, then Lindegaard gets one.
Hopefully we'll see Jones at RB and Smalling in the center. Shame about another injury to Rio, hopefully he'll be back soon. We need him more then ever now that Vidic is gone.
I like the line-up. Two slight worries are Evans isn't consistent enough to make me feel completely secure about our defense and Giggs needs to be able to cope with what will definitely be a lot of pressing from Fulham.

De gea is young, inexprienced and certanly not used to the hectic xmas programe we have. it would be foolish to play him every game, and at the same time lindegaard gets good 1st team experience. master stroke from fergie imo

I'm sure Park will come on if/when Giggs tires, but I agree. Rooney and Valencia will definitely help out when we don't have the ball though.

We've played Sunday, we're then playing Wednesday and Monday. Hardly earth shattering. He's done that sort of thing with Atletico when they were in the Europa League.
I don't see the masterstroke. Just the making sure Lindegaard is kept happy. And I'm not a fan of it. Rotation in goal is not right.

Would prefer jones in midfield, with smalling at the back and rafael right back. That said fulham away is always tough, and probably too much for rafael right now, which is why fergie has made this decision.
