Liverpool also fined £20k for their behavior in the Fulham game.
Not sure if its related to the T-shirt incident though.
So it seems a man is only innocent until stitched up by an institution and media dripping with posturing, pious, self-righteous indignation.
Thank goodness there are so many Reds who are strident in their support for Luis Suarez and the club’s support of their player – based not simply on loyalty but rather on the application of a rationale that rightly sees the injustice in what has taken place.
It's bonkers. They're now obsessed with using words like rationale and objectivity, despite going on to do nothing of the sort in the very posts they're calling for it in...As if merely name checking the words is tantamount to actually applying them.
It's great isn't itAnother ban and fine for Suarez after giving Fulham fans the bird
9 games - ouch
You shouldn't be banned for sticking your middle finger up at a set of fans who've been abusing you for 90 minutes.
A fine would suffice in my opinion. While it's not going to hit a player hard, a gesture of that sort isn't going to offend many if anyone in the crowd either. Save bans for where it's deserved.
Having said that, Suarez is a horrible little shit so I have very little sympathy for him.
Personally, I don't give a feck after seeing one of our own banned for swearing ffs.

It's a bit unfair, but they *are* handsomely compensated for their discretion. All they have to do is refrain from attacking, swearing and making obscene gestures at supporters, you can still swear at the ref and the other players all you want.
That, and refrain from making reference to a player's race or color or disability, et cetera.
It's the new dignified and humble.
I'm sure if you used your rationale you would see that's not very objective.
Unless you're saying it about Evra of course.
