Manchester United vs. Blackburn Rovers

Rooney's being rested as a precaution as he has a few little strains, I'd rather have him miss this than play and potentially tear something.

We'll be fine. Just relax
It isnt beyond repair. Fergie will fix it for the second half

shouldn't be making hard work of this, no chance we see the youth in the 2nd half, we have to chase the game.

Ref has got next to feck all wrong...

Booking two Utd players for their only foul and allowing Blackburn players to jump into tackles with no talking to including their left back hauling down a player on the edge of the box who was in behind him, talking to Samba about the keeper's time wasting then doing nothing when he continues to do it. He's been shite.

Except there's no player on the bench who might actually make a difference. Unless you count Anderson who hasn't played in ages.

Leaving out Giggs and Rooney is baffling.

Fabio can play CM decently. I'm not sure I've seen Rafael do it. He hasn't today.

How can no one see. Rafael is useless in midfield. Nani's wasted 9/10 passes/crosses. Those would be the 2 changes /rotations. Berba needs to drop in the hole, Nani needs to not play in the middle and generally less. Rafael needs to be subbed

Fergie has fecked up big time with the selection.

So he chooses a Brazilian fullback in central midfield over a natural CM in Pogba? The very same player that Fergie himself said needed games if he was going to commit to the club.

Madness.

He wouldn't tear anything on the bench. But we'd still have quality back-up, if only for the last 20 minutes or so.

I know the rules, and that was never a penalty. Stop whining about how the ref's against us, and Blackburn are game raising cnuts, and just support the bloody team

If you know the rules you should know that you're not allowed to hold the opposition player's shirt.

They were bookings. Frst challenges or not they were both bookings.

I'm confident we will. Probably two goals clear before the final 10 minutes.

I agree, we're playing like its a practise match. Expect us to come out with a bit of determination and pace in the second half and if we do I reckon we'll tear them apart.

I'm going for 3-1

Yup, Giggs should have been on the bench minimum, that said Blackburn have offered little and the players on the pitch are more than good enough.

But half the players are not in their natural position.

I can see why we're fecking up here - players aren't comfortable in the roles selected. Welbeck out wide - not working. Park and Rafael in central midfield - not working.

Blackburn are offering nothing up front, so why not move Carrick into midfield for Rafael? Get Anderson on alongside him. Get Park out wide left and haul one of the strikers off.

It'd be a much better balance.

I'm struggling to be positive here and that's unusual. Can't see us fashioning anything. This is worse than the Basel game.

You clearly don't or you wouldn't be banging on about whether he was in control of the ball.

Oddly enough it is possible to support the team, but still criticise the ref. That's what I'm chosing to do.

To be honest I don't think Blackburn are particularly guilty of "game raising", they're about as shit as ever.

Fryers on please. Carrick into midfield with Park, Rafael to right back and Nani/Valencia on the wings.

We always struggle to break teams down who constantly crowd their box, nothing new and wouldn't say it's anywhere near the worst performance this season.

We need to stop overpassing the ball and play a little quicker and more direct. We'll win still

I agree. All of our worst performances have been against teams parking the bus. We seem to really struggle to break down defensive minded teams.

On another note, did anyone else's stream just have some woman analysing Giggs's signature and drawing? Absurd half time feature.

If he came on there's still a risk of exacerbating the injury, we have the players on the pitch to beat Blackburn IMO, Giggs should be in the squad but other than that it's fine. I think Macheda and Gibson aren't involved due to pending loans/moves, that's my hunch anyway.

Our easiest game of the season and we're fecking up like this

First few minutes of the second half crucial now, will be continue like we did at the end of the first half or go back to playing pretty slow. Hopefully we will continue as we finished the first half

Will Michael Dean give his annual penalty or red card against Rafael, when will it happen?
Early in the second half I believe. But then he'll give us one as usual too when Park stumbles in their box after being hit by a strong pass from Valencia.
