Aaron Ramsey

He was really poor today. Should have gotten jail time because it was criminal how many time he lost possession.

There was one moment when he tried a backheel, and it ended up failing ridiculously. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. He would have been much better going for the simple option instead.

He was adamant in trying that flick every time he received the ball and never succeeded once. With Wilshire coming back in January should improve them a little bit more.

Those stupid flicks were annoying the hell out of me. How many times Arsenal lost possession in very good positions because of those of that.

Well, I guess I should let the Arse fans worry about that now.

Had a bit of an iffy game but he's still very young and he's a year behind where he would have been development wise. Don't think it's fair to say he's the prototype Arsenal player (in the bad sense) just yet.

I'm not completely convinced that furthest position forward in the midfield suits him best, mind.

He is a very talented youngster.

He has poor yesterday but he is quite young.Still only 20.

He had a very poor game yesterday, but overall I think that he has had a very good season so far.

On MOTD2 last night, can't remember who, but someone reckoned that Ramsey and Arteta played very well yesterday. :wenger:

His inexperience showed but most the game I thought he was impressive and he did a couple of great exchanges and some nice passes.

Ramsey played pretty well, people are too swayed by his sloppiness in the closing stages when he tired. Should have had a penalty, should have scored when he hit the post, threaded the ball through for van Persie off-side goal.

This was what I took from his game as well.

No, people are swayed by him slowing down counter attacks and giving possession away cheaply.

people expect too much from a 20 year old kid who has just come back from a very bad injury. Theres a lot of pressure to try and take over from Cesc, but Cesc was a special player

This. That injury wrecks players for years afterward. I think he's faring well. Our own Valencia is only just coming back into his own after an injury like that and he has years on him.

It's too much to expect a professional footballer to keep possession and learn from sloppy passing?

Clearly Shawcross was sent from a dystopian future to stop him and he failed.

He does seem to be in a bit of a rough patch at the moment though. Here's hoping it continues.

This, but he's still quality. Just a massive job to be the main creative outlet for a big team so young.

I still think he's being played too far forward, I don't see what qualities he has that are suited to the role other than a decent strike.

Like Pete says his form is suffering because of how many games he is having to play. Played a part in almost 30 games and considering it hasn't been that long since his injury and he is still young I think it is all catching up with him at the moment.

He ran the show against Chelsea in that 5-3-win, which coincided with a run of great form for Ramsey. I agree with Pete that he's played in the right position.

I just think he's a bit flat due to playing virtually every game this season. The Ramsey who played against United was a tired player, no doubt about that.

Always saw him as a natural CM, to be honest. I am not sure about him in the No. 10 role.

I don't know why people say that, since it's become pretty clear that Jack is best playing deeper and Aaron further forward. Two years ago I thought it would be the other way around but the evidence is clear on the pitch.
Neither of them right now is suited to the role further forward. I suspect its down to inexperience.

Im aware that we disagree on this matter pete, but I still think Wilshere should be given more chances in an advanced role, and I believe he would have more impact on games if this happens. Ramsey is too limited in the final third to make good use of the chances he gets while playing Arsenal's advanced midfield position. I think Wilshere hasnt been given the chances he deserves in the same position, and believe he would do a good job if Wenger gave him the chance.

Not denying that Wilshere is doing a good job in the deep role, but I have a feeling he would be more influencial further up the pitch.
