Ajax vs. Manchester United

How can you lot be excited for this? I find it depressing!

Because we're in the rare situation where we can watch us play a competitive match whilst not getting too nervous over the result.

Of course I want us to win, and do the best we can in this competition but put it this way, I won't react to us going out of the EL in the way I would us getting knocked out the CL, which is gutted.

Proper footy night for me tonight, got asked to play "5 a side" which is the first Football I will have played in over a year so took the evening off work and thought I'd be missing some of the match... then find out it's on at 6!

I hope we do ourselves proud and show this competition up for it's pure averageness!

Not being funny, and sorry if this has been mentioned before - but according to the BBC, we've left Berbatov at home to rest him? WHY?

A mistake by them, surely ... anyone know if he's carrying a knock?

I'm looking forward to it, why wouldn't we be? It's pressure free European football.

we are so used to champions league football, I am gutted we been forced to play in this 2nd-rate europa league.

Regardless of how people view the competition , the fixture and the venue City should make for a good trip for all concerned and some decent viewing over two legs. That Christian Eriksen seems like a fair player who could cause us problems.

If only we'd held on to Bebe, we'd have been in the CL last 16 instead.....

"Forced to play"? Oh do feck off. That's the kind of sense of entitlement that gives us a bad reputation.

I actually look forward to this, nice KO time as well! We are not entitled to be in the knock out stages of the Champions League every single season without earning it and I think we (the fans as well) should treat this competition with respect.

I must admit when we qualified for the Europa league I was pretty dissapointed but now it just feels we're under no pressure to win it so tonight should be intersting.
