Norwich City vs. Manchester United

Well I suddenly got a lot less confident without Rooney.

Less than a 35% win percentage without him... :nervous:

3:1, with two DDG howlers and a key player out for the season anyone?

United line up; De Gea, Jones, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Welbeck, Hernandez

OFFICIAL MUFC XI:

de Gea

Jones
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Nani
Carrick
Scholes
Giggs

Welbeck
Hernandez

SUBS: Amos, Smalling, Rafael, Fabio, Park, Young, Berbatov.

Not at all confident without Rooney. Just as he was starting to score goals again, he picks up a "virus". Bloody hell.

And why is Smalling missing again?

#MUFC Bench: Amos, Rafael, Smalling, Berbatov, Park, Young, Fabio

Giggs often drifts in from the left so that would really leave us exposed down the left and Evra :nervous: Won't be surprised if Welbeck plays off the left.

I'm suprised there's no berba either, with Rooney out he's the natural replacement for me. I think we could use his ability to pick a pass.

Weird that we've gone for Welbeck and Chicharito given that Berba doesn't offer much from the bench. And Young benched is a strange one too, Giggs out wide seems a weird choice.

Still more than enough in that side to beat Norwich, come on lads!

Just realised that I can't watch the game. It's not on TV for me and my internet is currently fecked, so I'm on my phone. FFS!

Three games I would have loved to watch today at the same time. Arsenal-Spurs, us and the Sheffield derby not on TV either.

So Park's allowed to play in central midfield ahead of central midfielders, but he can't get a place in the team in his actual position ahead of a 37 year old central midfielder :wenger:

We'll have to change the team in order to try and rescue the game...again.

Pretty much what I expected, except for Rooney that is. Probably, Giggs will make it 3 in the middle and welbeck on the wing. I can see us dominating the game tbh.

I'd feel better with Smalling in the back 4. Its going to be an aerial bombardment.

Agreed.

I wonder if they might line-up with a 4-3-3 rather than a straightforward 4-4-2 with Giggs wide-left, given recent comments from him about being knackered running up and down the wing.

De Gea
Jones---Ferdinand---Evans---Evra
Carrick
Scholes---Giggs
Nani---Chicharito---Welbeck

Use the younger legs to run the wings.

Then we'd have Hernandez as a lone target man.

Why not just play him in central defence?
