Sunday 4th March 2012
Barclays Premier League
White Hart Lane
KO: 1610 GMT

One bit of good news is no Parker for Spurs. He'll be a big miss for them.

Fairly confident we'll win this.

Good time to play Spurs - and we're just starting to roll...

de Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Giggs
Nani

Rooney
Welbeck

SUBS: Amos, Smalling, Jones, Scholes, Young, Berbatov, Hernandez.

Are City home or away that weekend?

Please, anything for 3 points for us.

Scholes cannot be dropped at this moment in time.

Hearing Rooney is too ill to play against Holland. That's him available for Spurs then! :D

our chances of winning are better now that parker was sent off today

Yeah though would have been much nicer if it was Modric!

Hopefully we bing rafael back for this. He seems to do well against fast wingers and has done well against Bale before. Spurs will be looking to make up for today so it's gonna be tough.

Forgot we had this one coming up. It's going to be a very difficult game, but after seeing Spurs today I'm more confident that we can come away from it with a win.

if we have rooney and valencia back ill be more confident

I expect a 5 man midfield and a tight match, hard to predict the score.
Hope we can nick it 1-0

They will be playing at white hart lane, not going to be easy and this match won't have any bearing on that one.I expect a really hard match, I hope we win but I can see a draw tbh.Although parker is a loss to them.

I can see a draw happening as well, but I'm starting to get a feeling now that we can go on and win that game.

I think that today's game could have an adverse effect on them. They've been on a major high recently, but to suddenly be embarrassed by your local rivals when you thought you would win can destroy morale in an instant. As you said, they've also got Parker missing, which will help us.

Team should be....

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Evans
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Welbeck

Subs: Amos, Jones, Smalling, Giggs, Young, Hernandez, Berbatov

Tottenham predicted lineup:

GK: Friedel

RB: Walker
CB: Kaboul
CB: King
LB: Assou-Ekotto

RM: Lennon
CM: Sandro
CM: Modric
CM: Van der Vaart
LM: Bale

CF: Adebayor

I don't think Harry is ballsy enough to play two strikers against us with Parker out. I reckon he'll start Lennon ahead of Kranjcar due to Lennon usually doing quite well against us, though I haven't seen how Kranjcar has done lately.

Three points would be absolutely vital and would leave us in a great position with 8 games to go before the Derby at the end of April. Beat Spurs and we will have:

WBA (H)
Wolves (A)
Fulham (H)
Rovers (A)
QPR (H)
Wigan (A)
Villa (H)
Everton (H)

Given our form towards the end of the season usually, between 22-24 points would be SOME achievement for those eight matches.

A draw would not be a bad result, but having blown a 2 goal lead in their local derby will hopefully leave them a little shaky when they face us - and Parker being out is no bad thing for us either. I've thought for a while we'd win this game , don't ask me for any reasoning behind that statement, just a feeling, that's all.....

swap Smalling with Rafael and you have my team

looking forward to this - hopefully no issues with the international games

Rafael was a liability in this fixture last season. Flying into tackles all over the shop, even after he was booked, ended up getting sent off for a drag back on the half way line.
