I'm pretty sure I answered this question before.. But here we go.. I'm a United fan, but I admire Barcelona a LOT. If United become crap I'll still support them. If Barcelona become crap, I wouldn't care about them..
I think Messi and Barcelona are probably (going to be) the best in the history of football ever, or at least one of the very very best. I think I'm lucky to be able to watch such a special team, and such a special player, play such beautiful football, and achieve this amount of success.. I won't waste my time in the bitterness corner. I won't turn my tv off whenever Barcelona or Messi scores a goal.. I'll just enjoy watching this team that will be talked about for generations to come, IMO.
If you love United, you don't have to hate football.
Also you can love football without loving Barcelona and Messi. It doesn't make you bitter. But some people can't concentrate on their own admiration and have to call others who won't join in on their loving streak as bitter and haters. It's weird and almost protective. Of a club they don't even support.

When things don't go Barcelona's way, they are a disgusting football team. There is enough evidence to prove that, but the majority of the time, they don't resort to the bs they can get up to. They don't have to.
For what it's worth, last nights score flattered Barcelona. The defending was as shambolic as Arsenal's against us from Bayer. That doesn't take away from Messi's performance, but in a tighter game where the opposition doesn't have to score at least 2 away to Barca, it might have been different tactically.

Oh dear, you've completely lost it.
As for this thread, its one thread. Noone forms an opinion on the state of a forum based on a thread title. Or they shouldn't be daft enough to do so. Besides, Barcelona's antics on the pitch are disgusting. There's definitely a decent case for that. It's another matter that you can include Real as well in that but the point has merit in it.
BTW, this last post of yours has more 'rawk' about it that this thread title.

Why dont the ones that find the thread incredibly bitter etc not stay out of it? Why the need to make sure everybody feels the same way as you? Its a forum. There are bound to be people that dont see things the way you do. Move on.
fwiw, i do think a team like barca shouldnt resort to diving and playacting when things get tough for them. but, they arent the only ones that do it. Almost every team has a player thats known to take a dive or teams that surround the ref calling for cards. Barca are the same.

Weird title edit. The thread maker had an opinion on Barcelona. He created a thread to focus on a particular element of the football team. Should the 'gibbs is a terrible defender' thread title be changed to accommodate alternate views if a few chaps decide to defend/praise him?
Originally it was a complaint about a particular kind of behaviour in a particular set of games. Times change though - it's become the main Barca thread, for better or worse.
The La Liga thread had a similarly derogatory title originally but the thread became too general purpose and outgrew it.

This is a much more respectable title for such a big thread in our forum I'd say.. Of course even just "Barcelona" would be a much better title, because it gives the thread (and the forum) a much more respectable image. It's my opinion, no matter how much you shout and swear.
Just change it to the 'FC Barcelona thread'. Gives the forum a much better image. Even if many here do hate Barca, it doesn't look good to have a thread with over 1000 posts just hating on them. This forum is better than that, and so are the posters.

Players are warming up and getting match fit for the season. For some that means brushing up on the diving part as well.

I checked their Polish forum, virtually all think it wasn't a dive and he slipped.
That sort of thing should lead to a retrospective 3 game ban and fine. It's a joke. It don't look like a slip. He lifted his right leg willingly. If he had of slipped, i'm sure he could have tried a bit harder to stay on his feet. It was a complete free fall.

teams should just start to go through them properly like Honduras did to spain. If your going to get a yellow you need to get value for it.
