Champions League Quarter-finals (second leg)

I bet you he's gotten away with that a fair few times, Busquets going down was also influenced by Puyol and I'm not impressed by the basketball screens Barca use at set-pieces, that's obstruction in this game.

Yeah, I'm sure he gets away with it enough, but you can't take that for granted. Also obstruction should be a last resort, not a substitute for basic defending.

In all fairness that Milan defence get away with murder sometimes, even if that last penalty was dubious.

Will people stop with the conspiracy theories?
It's as laughable as RAWK saying that FA favor us.

It's just a bit of home advantage same as in the 1st leg. It's bad to watch as a neutral of course and the refs need to step up.

That was soft but it was a penalty, clear as day.

Don't let that stop your conspiracy theories.

Milan could go through.

Lots of spaces for them in behind that Barca defence is they just lift their heads a bit sooner.

Really stupid penalties to give away, I dont think they can have any complaints with either, Nesta shirt pulling was sheer stupidity.

Still, I think Milan are more than capable of getting a second.

The same people claiming this will of course be taking umbrage tomorrow at anyone trying to suggest the FA or refs favour Man utd in any way, shape or form.

You've misunderstood my point somewhat, Barca use basketball style screens when attacking set-pieces, the Barca players will know about the screen (basically someone just stands there blocking the space off), the Barca players will run around the screen and the opposition will try to cut the curved runs but they end up running into another Barca player, you saw Puyol there even try to grab Nesta. You can't have it both ways, Barca are cheating from corners, it's clever but's it's obstruction.

How many soft decisions do barca get. It's ridiculous.

Never, they rarely get pks...Refs missed 3 back in Milan and none of them were soft

Kuipers has gotten just about everything correct, save perhaps a booking for Ambrosini & Xavi

If you want people to stop moaning about conspiracy theories where are your complaints about barca disgusting behaviour of surrounding the ref at every decision.

As much as I want Milan to go through they have only themselves to blame for two stupid things that lead to the 2 penalties.
1)Mexes felt asleep and made a underhit backpass which had a consequence of creating the situation that got Barca the first pen
2)Nesta was extremely stupid to keep pulling the Barca's player like that in the penalty box.Amateurish mistake

The ref tonight has given them everything he could, it sometimes happens at home with big clubs. To all of them, it's human, but fecking annoying when the home team is not us.

So you are allowed to hold shirts at corners now? Nesta was pulling back for at least a second before Puyol acted the twat. Clear penalty.

fecking Rawk.

Yet Nesta riding Busquets and his shirt like he was a jockey is somehow not a pk eh?

Great penalty decisions!!!! Nesta got what he deserved, you cant pull Busquets shirt like that. I know he dives but this was not a dive and Puyol just got stuck in traffic so he is innocent. Barca best team ever, Messi best player ever.

I just wanna clarify that Nesta held Busquet's shirt, he didn't pull it. Just like the back of someone's hand isn't an elbow this wasn't a shirt pull.

If Ref gives Barcelona a soft penalty, he will most probably return the favour for Milan. With players like Mascherano around, it may come back to haunt Barcelona.

I want a good game, hopefully going to extra time and penalties. Couple of red cards won't be bad either

Right, one of those penos who Messi should've been given because he's been the best in the world for a few years now?

People trying to justify the second penalty call can't be serious.

Forget the pulling of the shirt, players are being wrestled to the ground at every corner kick nowadays and 99% of the time nothing gets called.

Agreed. To claim it's something of a conspiracy by UEFA to ensure that Barcelona reaches the final is fecking ridiculous though.

If you apply the letter of the law from minute one that peno incident wouldn't have occured. The game would have taken a different course. The ref has given everything he could to the home side, one has to see a slightly broader picture. That's not to say the better team are not ahead, but that's not the refs remit.
