Manchester City vs. Manchester United

I was fine until I read all this, now I'm getting nervous.

I've no idea how it will turn out but the more they hype up games the more of a damp squib they turn out.

A damp, 0-0 squib would be fine for us, but I can't really see it tbh.

CL final vs Chelsea was much worse for me.

I can't remember how nervous I was before that. I do, however, remember how nervous I was before each penalty was taken.

Sitting here in work, legs can't stop shaking and heart won't stop pounding (the 3 coffees this morning probably didn't help).

Glad I booked tomorrow off. The first thing I do when I get home is crack open a bottle of beer!

Mon You Reds

The CL final against Chelsea, I honestly felt ill during the penalties. My dad took himself out the room, he was that nervous when Terry walked up to take his penalty.

Then last season, the week leading up to the Chelsea match at OT, I was a wreck.

Stupid of me to think I would be able to study up until kick-off.

Wigan away in 2008 was the most nervous one for me, with Chelsea last season as second.

People predicting comfortable wins, you're more delusional than scousers.

So Yaya didn't get suspended for his fingers to the crowd?

Besides being a title decider, this game is a window shopping opportunity for potential signings all over the globe since literally every professional footballer across the world will most likely see this game.

Yes, that's why the majority of United fans want to win this.....so we get shiny new signings in the summer. Jesus.

What is it with the caf and reading messages as how they want to interpret it? There's a reason why title decider is up there before anything else.

Sorry, I'm just a fecking wreck atm.

But I don't think it's 'much more' than a title decider. The fact that the result of tonight's game dictates where the title will go - after a year of hard work, and ups and downs - is what makes the game so immense. Everything else is just additional incentives, nothing more imo.

Fair enough, somethings go missing when a non-native English writer tries to express himself.

Interesting point though, that of potential signings getting a chance to look at their possible future club. I don't think for a second that any United target would draw any significant conclusions from tonight's actions but I would imagine that a City win would perhaps convince a few high-profile targets that they're the 'real deal'.

As for the match, I am absolutely, positively, utterly convinced we're going to lose. No idea why I feel it; I think it's my subconscious preparing for the worst possible scenario so I can be happily surprised if we do win/draw.

I believe the players will turn up for it and put in a performance, but so will City.

I reckon we could set up like either of these:

DDG
Smalling - Evans - Ferdinand - Evra
Carrick
Scholes - Cleverley
Valencia ------------------- Nani
Rooney

Rooney - Welbeck

They just had the two senior reporters for the respective clubs from the MEN on the radio, and so far as Stuart Mathieson was concerned he expects the team to be the same as last week with the likely exception of a change at right back. He didn't to any particular inside knowledge though.

I watched the penalty shootout as you normally would up until the Terry miss. After completely losing faith as he walked up to take it, the renewned hope after he missed meant that I just couldn't watch our own penalties after that. So I kept walking out of the rooms for ours and back in for theirs.

Funniest part was that I seemed to have lost my bearings to such an extent that when VDS saved Anelka's I didn't even realize it was the decisive penalty. What a night.

Alot of people calling it a title decider. The way I see it if we win pretty much all City fans will admit it's over, needing a point from our remaining 2 games, whereas if City win, at least in my mind we are still in with a shout as they have to go to Newcastle and get a result.

Alot of football to...Ah who am I kidding it's as big as it gets - Come on United!

Very nervous. But looking forward to it. Got extra bar staff and some free grub for half time at my place tonight. It'll be a fairly even split between Reds and non reds I reckon.

Comon United!!!!

That Terry pen was like having a mild heart attack from the moment he started walking up. I'll never forget the look on Terry's face, and him holding out his hands then grabbing his legs.

I want to say I'd like to see Tevez have a similar moment today, but really I don't want it to so close he gets to fluff a chance to win!

If Welbeck could score in the first minute like Chicharito against Chelsea last year that would be fantastic. Too bad they don't have David Luiz.
