Manchester City vs. Manchester United

Park starts  so the rumours were true. Hope he has a solid performance tonight because he's been pretty dire in his last lot.

It looks quite clear what our gameplan is gonna be from the start. We have good options on the bench to change things if we really need to go for broke. Let's hope we don't find ourselves in such a desperate situation. :nervous:

Hopefully Jones is at TB and not CB. that'd be a recipe for a heart attack,

Good to see Nani start, shame about Valencia.

Subs; Amos, Berbatov, Hernandez, Young, Welbeck, Fabio, Valencia

Nice bench. Not much in the way of defence though apart from Fabio but I suppose Valencia can play there too if needed.

Evans was injured and didn't train all last week. It's not about him being dropped.

No Valencia? I hope Smalling is not rusty, biggest game of the season and injuries strike us again with Evans missing. I'm slightly concerned about the midfield 3.

It is certainly a side set up not to lose. I don't blame him. Although many will be annoyed with this line up.

But our bench is really strong, if needed.

Man Utd subs: Amos, Rafael, Valencia, Young, Berbatov, Welbeck, Hernandez

That's a fecking lot of attacking power on the bench.

Well at least we can throw the kitchen sink at them from the bench if necessary...

SUBS: Amos, Rafael, Valencia, Young, Berbatov, Welbeck, Hernandez.

Dropping Evans, good ballsy decision. But playing giggs and scholes in the same midfield, not do sure and as for parks inclusion that just baffles.

Control the tempo first. Not a big fan of Park myself but he has the legs and bite that we need, and with Giggs starting as well he'll be on the flank and helping out defensively as well.

We have a strong bench. Plenty of options. City don't have the heart or desire that we do....... IF we show up tonight

Are we allowed 5 subs tonight, please? Incredible subs.

fecking knew Park would start though. If he's poor I might just enrage. I think there's a big goal in him though.

It's not that shocking. Valencia isn't ideal for 4-5-1/4-3-3, no "traditional" wingers are. I find Evans' omission somewhat surprising, considering that Smalling barely played in the last few weeks and I'd put Welbeck in ahead of Giggs as a wide forward, with Park cleaning up the middle. I'm never comfortable with Scholes and Giggs starting together.

But we'll see how it goes. At least it's not 4-4-2.

Have a very, very bad feeling about it now after seeing the teams. Would love to be proven wrong, but I don't feel good at all.

They were reported on twitter by reporters, 5 minutes after they were supposed to be released, it surely wasn't an attempt to wum by me.

That's. Same by me.

Park's inclusion is to make up for the running Giggs and Scholes lack, as you quite rightly point out.

Sorry about posting the wrong line-up guys, I'm sure everyone else who posted it is sorry too, but there were a couple of reporters who posted that on twitter as official, I'm sure no one was trying to mislead anyone. I'll certainly wait for a more official source next time though.

He must be injured. No way he wouldn't have been in the squad at all if fit.

Many players starting in not the best of form. Giggs, Park, Jones, Smalling all due a good performance.
