Chelsea signed Marin without any fuss, Arsenal signed Podolski without any fuss.

Why can't the same happen with our transfers.

Because signing a much in demand, potential world star tracked by every big club on the globe, is more complicated than signing the likes of Marin and Podolksi

The constant checking for updates is embarrassing. When my wife walks past the computer I have to flick porn on quickly so she doesn't see the transfer forum and realise how sad I've become

Okay I have just seen some cnut tweet this exact post from the caf on twitter...they are watching us :nervous:

cnuts.

I think if you look at last summers actual targets we do things fairly quickly and quietly, Phil Jones was the only one with a lot of media attention because Blackburn didnt want to sell even after we met his buy out clause.

Its this reason why i dont think we are even in for Hazard, surely if United were interested we would have told him to shut up until the move

Hazard's kit for next season:

sorry if already posted.

Why is there no gingham on that kit? Its must be a fake...

From Eden Hazard's Agent:
"We have read a lot of false things in the papers. Everything seems so complicated because of the wages when it's not."

"We have received all the offers from the interested clubs. Eden won't negotiate anymore, because everything is clear."

"He will contemplate everything over during the two Belgium friendlies and decide after. This will allow him to go on holiday happy."
Anyone know when their friendlies are?

Beyond that if you take a look at our signings from '05 onwards you can see how we took care of the likes of the Evra, Vidic, Carrick, Larsson, Nani, Anderson, Valencia, Owen and Smalling deals quickly and quietly. Some players are bigger names and prefer to be in the limelight more, but that hasn't stopped us going in for them. We were close to the Ronaldinho deal despite the fact he was talking in the media about multiple countries, teams and leagues he'd love to play for, for example.

Certainly not Young and De Gea, they both had been linked with United for quite a long time before they signed. Jones was the only real surprise.

Smalling was out of the blue...

Nani and Anderson was

Hargreaves and Berbatov was...not

How hard is it to post a link to the source? You've gone to all the trouble of pasting it and putting it in a quote so why not do the easiest part and provide a link?

What's the betting, this attention-craved mediawhore then after Belgium's two friendlies says he wants to wait until after the European Championships to prolong it yet further

I think if we wanted either of those players it'd have been done with little fuss. We're actually looking at players closer to the top talents though and that means the likes of City and Real Madrid will also be looking at them.

If for example, City wanted a player like Podolski or Marin, do you honestly think they'd have gone to Chelsea or Arsenal with no fuss?

Our record when competing with big spenders for a signature is bloody awful. Apart from beating City to Berbatov I cannot think of any in recent years. And even the Berbatov deal was well before City became the real deal so to speak.

It's very hard to get these players. I wish some of our fans could be more understanding.

The players we do get these days have not been sought after by the big spenders.
