I'm pretty sure we're only keeping our eyes on Kagawa as a backup for Hazard, since they play the same position. It's also why we're taking so long to get the deal done - we're waiting to see the result of the Hazard transfer.

For what it's worth, I think Hazard will choose Chelsea and we'll get Kagawa.

Also short of Giggs and Scholes discovering the secret of eternal youth signing both to replace the two of them makes perfect sense.
 
If he is a backup plan if Hazard fails, I'd like to know what SAF said to him when they met.

-"Boy, would you like to come to England to play for Manchester United?"
-"Yes"
-"Well, if we can't sign Hazard then you've got a deal."
 
Its a risky strategy. Kagawa might just say no if hr feels he is second choice. Buy both and the caf would melt down in a chain reaction of jizz.
 
Even if he did all he'd notice are the pictures. He'd think its a kermit the frog fan forum.
 
The fact that it's taking time is meaningless. Come on, we're talking about a deal that between fee and salary is a committment of many millions. Negotiations are bound to take a bit of time. Dortmund have a fee in mind and while they are willing sellers, they'll try to get a bit more while we try to pay a little less. Ashley Young was a done deal as far as we knew when last season was over. But it wasn't really done until late June.
 
I would say the fact that fergie has already met him in person - this deal is DONE imo.

Transfers rarely get that far and then fall apart; especially when already playing for a rival team

That's about 13m pounds? Still acceptable i would think. But we apparently made an offer for Hazard as well, surely we can't be buying both even if it will be a wet muppet dream for all of us
 
German is such a forceful language I'm tempted to believe every thing they say, regardless.

How is that in increase, with previous reports claiming we've offered 13m pounds? (Around 16m Euro).

Yep and I read that Dortmund are holding out for 17 so I assume this is going to happen since they are pretty close now...RM apparently entered into negotiations but Kagawa is set on the EPL
