Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood, and even if a woodchuck would chuck wood, should a woodchuck chuck wood?

Whether or not a woodchuck should chuck wood is a query oft misunderstood, since the ethical standards of a woodchuck in regards the chucking of wood are seldom very good; therefore, whether he should or should not chuck wood would not concern a woodchuck who could chuck wood. The question then is stood; how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Germans like to play hardball.18 mil should do it if we don't withdraw that is.

To be honest I think its going to be hard to justify our bid when we paid out on Young last year.

Youngs had a good season.

If we increased our bid on Kagawa this morning, does that mean we have lost Hazard to City?

I think we are just stalling for a few more days to get our monies worth out of the euro/gbp conversion rate. Todays €18m could be next weeks €16m!.

Quids in! ;)

Eden Hazard v Shinji Kagawa Stats:
Played 192/198.
Goals 50/86.
Assists 38/45.
Cost €35m/€20m.
Make up your own mind...

Kagawa plays off the striker, Hazard plays on the wing. Not a surprise Kagawa has better end product stats.

Cant believe how much Hazard is being hyped up in that thread.

This one looks more likely.. hope we can wrap this up soonish..

Kagawa scored between 25 and 30 of those goals in the second Japanese league... no offense, his stats are brilliant and he would be a fantastic addition to our squad (proved to be a bloody good player at Dortmund), but I wouldn't read too much into this.

There is no doubt the muppet in me says we should get both... and M'Vila too :smirk:

Great stats for Shinji, indeed. But let's not forget that Eden is 21 and Shinji 23... just saying.

Conclusion: Get both, anyway.

from arsenal's end they might just pip us to kagawa.
They're going to meet with his agent soon to discuss personal terms. They already have a bid accepted and they have met with the player.

(dont know if this 100% true but according to someone in germany)

Kagawa won't make it at that rainy day at Stokes...

Augsburg (probably an equivalent to Stokes) got him out of the way with man coverage... - in my eyes he will not fit into the PL. He is about the worst in the Bundesliga on his position when it comes to man-against-man fights, does not do much sprints and actually lives a lot of a system of Dortmund where everybody is in moves and runs his ass off only once a week. He would not make a cut at Bayern - against the opponents we usually have that are very well in defense. I do not think the opponents Man Utd faces are very different.

I have been away a few days, and before then I wasn't paying attention either. Is it actually looking remotely likely like we will get Kagawa? Or is it another Benzema/Torres thread?
