Shinji Kagawa | Signs for Manchester United

By that you mean he's a low key signing as oppose to superstars like Hazard?

It may be a low-key signing if it goes true, but low key in the sense that it hasn't been talked about much in the media. Hazard has led the whole world on one massive WUM, with all the twitter shite. Kagawa is a key player for the two time Bundesliga champions, Hazard is a key player for Lille, who came third in Ligue 1. Low key in media coverage? Yes. Low key in terms of how good a player he is? Not at all.

Not saying Kagawa is the better player, I'd actually say Hazard is, but for some reason I'd be more pissed off if we lose out on Kagawa. Maybe he just suits us more or something.

Hernandez would love his intelligent through balls, many a time our attackers have gone for either the greedy option or the wrong one, Kagawa is a bit like scholes in that he plays with his head up, and is not greedy, that and the fact he's not a twitter whore

I think the major difference is in ego at the moment. Kagawa is most certainly a superstar in Germany and Japan.

Is calling him a superstar in Germany not a tad OTT? I find it hard to believe he's as highly rated as the gash that is Ribery and Gomez (and obviously the likes of Robben who obviously isn't gash)

I'd say he was a low key superstar, like a Scholes. The kind that doesn't appear to have the ego nor the desire to be in the limelight like those you mention.

Why wouldnt he be? In the time he's been in Germany Dortmund have won every league title and claimed the German cup for the double this year too. And he's been one of the main players in that success

Carrick's been one of our main players throughout our success in the last 6 years and he's not considered a superstar

If it is true that Kagawa was our back up for Hazard, I wouldn't be too confident that he'll sign here. Once he's finished with Japan then he could talk with other clubs, if he hasn't already. Unless we were signing him as well as Hazard and there was a genuine reason this hasn't been sewn up yet.

Kagawa is not a backup option to hazard as some people seem to believe. It's possible we wont get either of them. Although I think we'll wrap up the kagawa deal this week. hazard, we will know soon

No he hasnt. Ronaldo, Rooney, Vidic, etc. This is what Kagawa is like for the Dortmund team. Either best or one of the top 3 players in their squad. Carrick has done his job very well, after really slow starts but these are the main players. Carrick would be like Sven Bender.

Was always going to be one of Hazard or Kagawa. It will be Kagawa

Actually the way the Kagawa deal has seemingly stalled it seems to me like we put him on the back-burner until we find out if Hazard is going to sign.

Nope.
Trying to negotiate a fee with his club.

What stalling? Fergie spoke to him and Kagawa himself said he was going to play the games he has line up with Japan before making up his mind.

If we'd have won the title on the final day this season then Carrick would of been one of the top 3 players responsible for that. Carrick's still massively undervalued.

So one season where we didnt win the league.

Dortmund won the league and cup and Kagawa was arguably their best player. Plus the league last season.

While Bayern were poncing about

Over there of course he's a big star.

Here, Carrick is not because he isnt one of the few main stars in the team

You think Dortmund are going to sell Bayern their best players and ensure that Bayern get back to being the best team in the land?

Why arent we trying to sign Aguero and Yaya Toure?

Bayern signed Neuer from Schalke who were champions the season before he left. If Kagawa really is one of the stars in the league just seems to me Germany's biggest club would be in for him.

Your comparison with us & City is stupid by the way.

As is your insistance that Bayern will try to sign the best players from every team that wins the league instead of them

Dortmund are not Schalke and dont need to sell their players. To add to that Dortmund are the current champions and have been for 2 seasons having just won the double. We're not talking about a 1 time league win and then becoming also rans, then selling a player. We're talking about the current back to back and double winners. Something Bayern can only dream of at this point in time.

Neuer wouldn't go anywhere else iirc.

I think its also because Dortmund are going to be playing in the Champions League next year, so there is no real reason for their players to switch over to Bayern.

Also, Kagawa clearly wants to come and play in England, where his global exposure will no doubt skyrocket and he will become a household name in every continent if he can replicate this years form in the Premiership next year.

I stand corrected Schalke apparently didn't even win the Bundesliga :o
