Shinji Kagawa | Signs for Manchester United

Most clubs do not make public their intentions re: transfers because they do not want competition.

It's normally agents that publicise clubs interests in their clients - in order to invite more clubs into competing with each other. However when a player wants to play for a club and has already agreed to do so in principle, there is no need for "edenhazarding" or better "whoring' around....

Oh wake up would you, Chelsea have had 6 managers since Mourinho and not one has successfully moved away from 4-3-3, you're a div if you think there's more chance of them moving away from that system now than not

And no all I've done in this thread is asked the question as to why there's not more interest in someone that's being hailed as this and that given his low transfer fee

And why is that exactly a problem?

The fact that no one moved away from 4-3-3 doesn't mean no one ever will. Signing Hazard, Mata, Marin and very likely Hulk shows that they're willing to play 4231 next season.

If they intend to play 433 then you have your question answered - Kagawa doesn't look like he suits that particular formation if you're going to use complete midfielders and Chelsea have for all of the time.

You don't think Hazard or Mata are capable of playing behind the striker? Hazard was especially bought in to play the coveted #10 role the prick so desperately wants and you will put him out on the wings?

I think both are capable I just cant see Chelsea moving away from their 4-3-3. Many managers have tried and always gone back to the status quo. From what I've seen of Hazard I could easily see him playing both in the midfield 3 (given the same amount of freedom that Lampard had for years) or wide.

Does that concern you?

The reason nobody else is in for Kagawa is probably because they have better players in their sights. Clubs like Chelsea, City, Madrid, Barca etc. Then we are the most favourable destination of the rest and have little competition for him.

You don't have a clue who does Chelsea etc in their sights. Chelsea signed Marin, City are apparently after Belhanda, both are NOT better players than Kagawa.

Mine was a list of players I thought we might be buying.

So because many managers have tried to convert them into a side playing different formation and failed, mainly due to the fact that all these players were used to that particular formation and couldn't adapt to a new one, means no one else will ever try even though it's a completely different set of players these days?

Right.

This bloody formation talk is another pointless thing. There are different versions of the same formation. Different managers interpret it differently. So 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 pretty much lineup the same way. They move and adjust during the game according to the situation.

Both are much better than Kagawa because they wanted them. We wanted Kagawa and our interest is a worse measure of talent than Chelsea's or City's.

I'm sure you aren't in a position to say that as youve probably seen very little of Belhanda. Besides, Chelsea just signed Eden Hazard. You know, the player that you and all your muppet freinds were so desperate for us to sign.

If we sign Human-sized Ninja-star I'll be well pissed that I just bought a shirt with Welbeck on the back for my kid brother's birthday.

They also have signed Marin. Besides I'm not sure how many times you have seen Kagawa, your one analysis of Kagawa was immediately shrugged off by those who have seen him regularly.

Seems like the idiots on here have created a new way of rating the players.

Signing for United= Not a great player
Signing for City, Chelsea= great player

Right.

Apart from Hazard who exactly have Chelsea bought that indicates a change of formation? Marin? No. Mata? No. Ramires? No. Romeu? No. Besides which you're missing the quite obvious point that it's not a manager or coach that buys the players for Chelsea it's the owner.

This is like Inception but with points. A point within a point, within a point, within a point, lost inside a fecking point.

And it seems people like yourself are so unevolved you have to resort to name calling because you cant handle someone daring to have a different opinion to yourself. Pathetic

Damn our diminished levels of evolution.

I've seen Kagawa plenty of times. You can't say a bad word on here though because nobody wants to hear it, they're just fecking Muppets. I don't go out of my way to slag off players that are signing for the team that I support, they are just honest opinions. I've heard people that watch Bundesliga week in, week out say the same thing and in actual fact, half my family lives in Germany and watches the football.

I don't know why you keep mentioning Marin. He's average and will be a squad player. As I said, Chelsea just signed Hazard. Surely you're not telling me he isn't a better player than Kagawa after you following his every move for the last few weeks in desperate hope he'd say he's coming here!

It's gone to Limbo for me, I have the first clue what they are on about.

Only on the Caf can an argument about Chelsea's formation after signing Hazard break out in a thread where a star is about to sign for United.

Either way, if they're going to change formation then they already have the players to play in the centre of the three in 4231, a role which Kagawa plays. If they're not going to change formation then Kagawa wouldn't fit the bill anyway because he isn't complete enough to play central midfield.

He came from Nippon
To put our kit on
He's all excited
To join United
Not like that retard
That Eden Hazard
Who joined the Bridge
For a bigger wedge

I can see where you're coming from but surely the simplest chant would be (to the tune of "Edwin Van der Sar")

Shinji! Kagawa!
Shinji, Shinji Kagawa!

Or

(to the tune "Ooh aah Cantona")

What a friend we have in Jesus
Midfield saviour from afar
What a friend we have in Jesus
And his name is Shinji Ka-ga-wa
OOH AAH KA-GA-WA;
OOH AAH KA-GA-WA;
OOH AAH; OOH AAH;
OOH AAH; KA-GA-WA
OOH AAH; KA-GA-WA...
UNITED
UNITED
UNITED

Some part of me feels dirty changing the words to Eric's song...

...I need to give this some thought
