Paul Pogba

Damn, I was looking forward to orgasmic reactions from Gary Neville after
Pog-baAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhh scored a screamer for us, sometime during a career in a big game.

Oh well, you win some you lose some..

This situation with Morrison, (Next Joey Barton?) and now Pogba is becoming irritating.

They should love the club much more than I do; they freaking WORK there and are living the dream, with loads of natural talent. They ought to feel a bond to the club.

But i guess, better, even now, than later.

Why? Like you said...they work there.

Morisson was fecked off out of it by Fergie. Simples. Pogba? Why? Does he support Manchester United like me and you? Did he have any emotional bond to the club before he was signed? Not anything significant I'd wager.

It's a career, not a love affair. The days your talking about are gone mate...for the most part anyway.

Sorry, don't you feel bonds to areas you go to every day? School mates, work? Sporting associations?

I'm sure it's hard for Pogba. I'm sure he had friends in our academy.
His excuses are not really valid. He's at a massive club, who say he'll get game time. The best manager ever, is saying he'll be a great player if he stays.

But if he wants to leave for a midfield that rivals ours; arguably better before we signed Kagawa (4231) - counting Kagawa as a CAM, then he's a liar.

Just like Woys "Footballing" reasons with Rio.

Ever since Ronaldo leaving and Rooneys game of brinksmanship, I have accepted that the game has changed massively in terms of emotional loyalty one can expect from somebody who has not roots with the UK, Manchester or SAF.

In this instance, we don't even have any 'moral highground' given we effectively high jacked the player from another clubs academy.

If Pogba thinks his market value or future has more potential elsewhere and the club don't think it worth intervening (like we did with Rooney) then I have no issues whatsoever. Seriously, the boy hasn't done that much wrong, except perhaps making the wrong decision, but that's only genuinely true for supporters given the responses on this thread. The player and our club don't seem to share the same opinion on his future. So be it. Good luck to him.

We move on. What's next?

Also, instead of PogbAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh orgasms from Gary, we'll have Kagawaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh which will send a strong message to Asia, whether they speak English or not!

He's entitled to make a decision on whatever grounds he wants. No gimp on an internet forum knows the circumstances nearly well enough to tell him he's wrong and why.

And playing the loyalty card on a player who United poached from another club in a different country, because he wants to leave for another club in a different country, is a bit like complaining at a bully because he punched you in the face last time you complained at him.

Yes, but we are 'the' move that he wanted for his career. When you MOVE to a top European club, you are meant to stay there if you are good enough, maybe to Real if you are 'too good' and you move to a respectable lower club if you aren't.

You don't choose to go somewhere, and leave when the club is making all the right noises about you, to go to a club on a similar level to the club you left, and argue it's about 'game time' when their midfield will be equally, if not harder, to break into compared to ours.

Oh, and then go on loan to Bologna or some other club. If he doesn't go there, there's at least 5 other potentially corrupt clubs he could be loaned to!

Isn't it more like complaining about somebody punching you in the face, after you've punched somebody else in the face?

Or his dream was always to play in Italy, and he was using United as a stepping stone to get to a top Italian club. They came knocking earlier than he expected so he took the opportunity.

So Juventus has signed Omar El Kaddouri(who is a midfielder) and Asamoah is also having a medical there. Add them to Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio and it's really difficult to see how Pogba's moving there for first team action.

They play a three man midfield so thats kind of similar to what we have right now. Dont know about this kaddouri guy but they have asamoah, verrati and melo as back up right now. Thats not worse than us having anderson, cleverley, giggs, park, scholes, kagawa, carrick, feltcher, new signing for our 2/3 spots. The chances of breaking into both the midfields are equal imo and seeing rafael playing in midfield instead of him would not have done us any favours.

Add into the fact that juventus are just as big a club as our(historically-maybe bigger on the continental stage when pogba was growing up), him being offered more money and being in italy. I can see him given serious consideration to their offer.

As a young player he will back himself to break into that team as he seems a confident lad and if he is good enough to be part of our squad next season than he is good enough to be one of juves. Another thing that might have helped his decision is the progress of the foreign youth that we signed a couple of years ago. None of them have made a break through into our team and he might have been keeping that in his mind.

Dya still think theres any hope of him staying?

Nope, I think it's hilarious that people are saying that playing Rafael in midfield in one match influenced his decision much and the fact that Juve have already signed a midfielder( El Kaddouri) and are close to signing two more midfielder(Asamoah and Verrati) doesn't matter.

With the way they are buying midfielders we should submit a sneaky bid for Vidal!!!

I was saying this from day one. He has a better chance playing for us than them.

They'll probably loan or sell him to Udinese.

has he actually signed yet? Is it official?

I want to see the back of this bloody thread

 Same here gb, adds no value at all. For the last couple of months all it has been going on a continuous loop of speculation based on no news and diatribes about agents and mercenaries.

Footballer in moving for money shock.

i have skipped to here so am i right in thinking that pogba is still with us ,and he's not gone or even on the verge of going?

This thread is a Cafe Black Hole - it swallows all posts and no light ever gets back out.

(I figure that comparison is at least as muddled as Noodles's)

Reports suggest he's definitley signing for Juve but that's been the case for a while with no confirmation.

Two scenarios:

1. Pogba can't officially sign until Jul 1st because they are not actually buying him out of his contract from us. They are signing him in a free when his contract expires.
2. (Clutching at straws) Pogba could be looking at Pirlo, Aquilani, Melo, Sissoko, Vidal, Marchisio, Asamoah and Isla and thinking... Wait a second....

I don't understand why this is taking so long. It's clearly not as done and dusted as we were all lead to believe.

The second scenario seems the most likely. He says nothing until he's a free agent, and signs a contract with Juve - a simple statement issued by his reps and it's all over.

It must be like Pexbo said above. He can't sign with them until the 1st of july, as he is still contracted with Unted.

You are assuming this is a patient, calculating football youngster. On the other hand you have a professional unscrupulous agent who is in bed with Juve and is set to make good money.

My money is on Raiola already having got him to sign up before Juve's Summer activity could confuse him. The player is committed contractually, but they have to wait for the 1st of July for the formal announcement. Whether he is now having second thoughts is irrelevant in that case.

Why would this matter though? He can legally speak to foreign clubs 6 months before the end of his deal, he can sign a pre-contract agreement. I see no reason to keep it quiet until his contract ends. If it was all agreed what exactly would be the reason behind not announcing it?

We have Carrick, Fletcher, Scholes, Anderson, Cleverley, Giggs, Jones, Park and Kagawa, the first 8 of which we've played in central midfield, there's talk of us getting at least one more central midfielder in, and we've played a 4-4-2 for 90% of our matches. His prospects at United aren't exactly bright, he might as well go to the team who are going to pay him more.

Why do they? They can announce it any time. If he's already signed for Juventus it doesn't have to wait until he's out of contract. They'd be doing nothing against the rules.

Park, Scholes, Carrick and Giggs are the wrong side of 30, Anderson is on borrowed time and seems a crock, Fletcher is unlikely in my view to return too. In Juve's midfield only Pirlo has a long term question mark over his head.

It may be in the interest of both clubs to keep it quiet.

How exactly? I don't see a single reason why either would want to keep it secret.

Both clubs are negotiating transfers of midfielders with other clubs. As far as everyone is concerned, we may well have Pogba for another year, making us less desperate/more open to trying him out, etc. The more depth and options you have the less bothered you are about walking away from a negotiation that is getting silly.

Looks convoluted, but how many on here played the "Pogba and Morrison opportunity" card last year to soften the blow of not signing anyone?

How does anything you've said here show it makes sense for neither club to announce whether Pogba is going or not until his contract ends? I don't see what impact it has on any negotiations with other clubs/players that a teenager who has barely kicked a ball for United might or might not stay.
