AmaZulu FC vs. United [Preseason Friendly]

I dont suppose anyone here is going to this??

I won't go to the Amazulu match but will be at the Ajax Cape Town match. Will post pics for sure. Looking forward to seeing Kagawa play.

PS: Just so it is clear, this is part of a 80th year of existence celebration for Amazulu FC so they will relish the challenge. You can expect Vuvuzelas for sure. Nooo doootaboootit. Also, just so a myth is dispelled now, which has been mentioned incorrectly on previous EPL sides visits, this is also preseason for SA teams. Previously the likes of Sky would say that we are in the middle of our season which is incorrect. Our season run along similar timelines to the EPL. I suspect it would be Amazulu's 1st or 2nd preseason game.

I expect United to beat Amazulu comfortably still but I expect Ajax to put up a fight.

 Bebe - looking forward to it actually. When he cut off his hair he lost his mojo.

Have I missed something on Evans? assume he must be injured if he has not travelled but haven't heard anything.

Didn't he have surgery at the end of the season? Perhaps he's not ready yet.

oh right i completely missed that, hopefully he will be ready for the start of the season

To be honest I'm not sure where I got that from so might not be correct.

By some stroke of luck I'll be near Durban from tomorrow night for a few days so I'll be going to this. Admittedly, I'm not expecting an exciting game.

looking forward to this now

get the feeling Scholes will enjoy playing with Kagawa

We've brought a serious amount of young lads with us this year.

Ace! Half an hour until our season starts.

Anyone know of any....ahem....'methods of following the game'?

The Amazulu marketing manager promised us that we wont hear the annoying bee noise alot.

Apparently this is on MUTV. Is that true? Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

Aye. It's been forced upon us though due to tournaments and injury.

Who are we missing?

De Gea (int), Jones (int), Smalling (inj), Vidic (inj), Evans (inj), Evra (int), Rafael (int), Fabio (loan), Cleverley (int), Fletcher (inj), Nani (int), Young (int), Giggs (int), Welbeck (int) and Rooney (int).

That's actually makes an awesome team...

Ffs, the game is sold out and I don't have tickets. Still trying to organise though!

Looking forward to this, especially seeing Kagawa in action. Just hope I can find a decent river.

I'm keen. Love watching the young'ns in the spotlight.

It's 7pm BST, so 6pm GMT.

At least that's what's on the info I've seen, and that's what's listen on the main site, 8pm local [GMT+2]. There may be a small ceremony for Nelson Mandela day beforehand.

Just realized Giggsy is gone to the Olympics. Officially interested in it now.
