Everton vs Manchester United

I agree with you Sharky. I doubt Evans will play though, he's had no pre-season (same goes for RvP). More likely see Scholes on for Vidic and Carrick going to CB :wenger:

Agreed. Play the fecker!

Carrick and Kagawa in the middle, if that doesnt work put Clev or Ando in instead of him.

I really would like to see Kagawa play. The game is not until Monday and he played earlier due to Japan time difference.
I wonder if Fergie will be bold at Goodison and unleash a system that isn't 4-4-2?
I agree RVP should not start given his lack of pre-season match time, best for him to debut at OT.

De Gea

Valencia
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley
Kagawa

Nani
Rooney
Welbeck

I don't think anyone's bettered this line-up, given that Van Persie hasn't had a pre-season to speak of. We may be a bit short in defense but for the front six positions we have Scholes, Giggs, Anderson, Young, Van Persie, Hernandez and Berbatov (for now) vying for a place on the bench, even with Valencia featuring out of position at full back. Fergie's got his work cut out to keep all his players happy this year.

Cocks out lads

Fergie saying RVP will be available for Monday. I guess he'll come on a as a sub. My XI:

De Gea
Valencia - Vidic - Ferdinand - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Nani - Kagawa - Young
Rooney

Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Giggs, Scholes, Anderson, RVP, Hernandez.

We're short on CB with Jones/Smalling/Evans not available. Can see this being a tough game as usual, Everton have improved player-wise IMO, but so have we... Kagawa & RVP to make the difference?

Sir Alex has said he is confident van Persie will make his debut against Everton on Monday

I reckon it'll be a sub appearance still, but there we go.

Welbeck?

Too many selections, I can't play them all in FIFA, so unjust :D

Seriously though I wonder who will be left out, probably Chicharito, and I doubt Young will start, if he does however than Valencia's definetely playing RB.

I would like Rafael to start, but I don't think he will, so it probably means Young will start at on the left - he hasn't impressed me in pre-season, but I don't think van Persie (ah, how cool does it sound?) will be ready for 90 minutes (or even 60), he'll probably get a substitute appearance on Monday.

Rafael, Scholes and van Persie to appear later in the game.

I would go with this team

i have a feeling Hernandez might get a shock start

Fergie will want to let the other strikers know they will feature and Hernandez has done well at Everton

Might see it at OT, but away to Everton?!

Bring it on!

De Gea

Valencia Vidic Ferdinand Evra

Nani Anderson Carrick Young

Rooney Hernandez

I think that both RVP and Kawagawawa will come in the second half from the bench. I think that we'll win the game with 0-1 or 1-2 final score.

Kagawa has had plenty of time to settle in to the team, and he hasn't looked out of place what-so-ever. I expect him to start.

^ This, and Kagawa is not going to be rested after internationals as some think, he played for Japan yesterday, he's probably flying back to Manchester today and the game is on Monday.

I think we will start with this team if Welbeck recovers from his tight thigh problem.

--------------De Gea---------------
Rafael---Vidic---Ferdinand---Evra
----------Carrick--Cleverley-------
Valencia------Rooney--------Nani
--------------Welbeck--------------

I expect Kagawa and Van Persie to make their debuts off the bench at around the 60-70 minute mark.

Kagawa and Rooney will start I'd imagine. van Persie, Welbeck and Hernandez on the bench... Jaysus...

I really can't wait for the season to start.

Kagawa, RvP and a fit Cleverley give us such exciting options going forward.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this team on monday:

-------------DDG---------
Valencia - Rio - Vidic - Evra
-----Carrick - Cleverley----
Nani --- Kagawa --- Young
--------Rooney----------

with RvP to come on at some point.

Thank you please. Maybe swap Valencia for Nani.

Nani has been the best player of the pre-season so he has every right to start.. I wouldn't start Kagawa in Everton away but at home against Fulham.

That front four is mouthwatering. Can't wait for Monday night.

Why not? It's not like he hasn't played in intimidating atmospheres or big games. He's probably been our most impressive player in pre-season and I'd be surprised (and a little disappointed) if he doesn't start.

I will be doing a new MOTM feature, after every game, I will post the points every player got, in the same thread, so at the end of every month, we can have a player of the month feature, and at the end of the year we can see who has actually performed.

In that case Bebe deserves (at least) to be on the bench.

Valencia did well as well, it will be tough one for Fergie, between Val and Nani.

RVP had a full last season(not typical or regular business for him), he was at the Euros. I know he has not played much during the pre season, but does anyone think it is a good idea to keep him off the playing 18 for a couple of weeks?

Someone already does this, Jake!

Yep, green demon if I'm not mistaken. Top also has a website documenting this stuff IIRC.

What does that gain? Holland were knocked out of the Euro's exactly 2 months ago. He's had plenty of rest. Just needs to catch up on a bit of match sharpness now which he wont get from being left out of the squad. I expect him to get about half an hr on monday night and start v Fulham.
