Manchester United vs. Wigan Athletic

Giggs and Scholes in the same midfield shouldn't happen.

Why do you assume Evra is dropped? He might be rested just as Kagawa and RvP.

Kagawa and RvP had picked up knocks and are on the bench. Evra on the other hand was supposedly fit and still misses out and following his poor performance last weekend..

Not too sure about this one. Wigan will pack the midfield, we are not exactly abundant with energy and legs in there today. I would also have liked DDG to play, but maybe SAF keeping him for the next 2 "bigger" games. Who knows.

Can't help but feel that the lineup took som edge off the excitement, new toys kept in the drawer.

Not exactly happy to see that lineup but 3 points and we won't really care.

Bench?

Lineup doesn't look too bad IMO, though I hoped DDG would start. I hope Carrick and Scholes get a grip on midfield; if they do, I guess we'll manage.

Giggs and Scholes starting ... Wonder if it'll be 3 in the middle with Welbeck out wide again.

Interesting..
Not too bothered about the keeper situation. Linde hasnt done anything wrong yet.. He's fine.

Excited to see Buttner...

I can't believe De Gea is benched again, this is just stupid.

With Evra and RvP benched maybe Sir Alex is taking this "one mistake, couple weeks on the bench" thing seriously.

Yeah. Most certainly. Despite the fact that RvP scored a hat trick to win us the game. Drop our whole defence if he's doing that.

I don't really have too many problems with that team. I'm slightly surprised about the GK position, but that's it.

We all want to see Buttner get a start in the PL, and I wouldn't risk Kagawa and RvP because of their knocks. Rest them because our next two matches are Galatasary and Liverpool.

Also glad to see Chicharito start, and Welbeck playing in a natural position. I hope they both get on the scoresheet today.

Come on United

Giggs and Scholes in the same midfield shouldn't happen.

Well we atleast got lucky with Giggs playing out on the wing so we won't have him sitting in midfield and spraying the ball to the opposition.

Just hope it's not Giggs in midfield and Welbeck out wide with Hernandez alone upfront.

Why not play our strongest team available? 4 games in and already rotation is well over the top.

Internationals, some with long journeys a CL game and Liverpool in the next week. It is a risk but understandable.

Fergie is the master at rotation. Not saying it will 100% work though :nervous:

No Fletcher :(

The players who were on international duty probably didn't come back in the best of shapes. Valencia and Kagawa had to travel a bit.

It's a wooden thing that people sit on, often found in parks.

Wow :/

I find myself hoping that it's Giggs behind Hernandez and Welbeck on the wing, but not at the same time, because I think both could turn out fecking horrible haha

Yeah. Most certainly. Despite the fact that RvP scored a hat trick to win us the game. Drop our whole defence if he's doing that.

De Gea cost us one goal whilst playing superbly the rest of the time. RvP cost us a goal and did the same. Rafael seems to have gotten lucky.
I'm not serious.

Carrick, Giggs and Scholes midfield is not looking good. Especially with Nani and not Valencia. No protection for the back 4 whatsoever...

It's a big risk, this early on in the season I don't see why he has to change over half of the team again.

Of course if we get 3 points it will be forgotten about, but I can see us having a harder time of it today and relying on our bench to deliver the goods.

I understand the need for rotation since we have galatasaray in. Idweek and then Liverpool on the weekend, but giggs and scholes starting together:eek: I love them both but I feel only one should start at a time, hope they prove me wrong. Regardless we should still win... fecking fantasy points will take a big hit though :(

Isnt this some milestone game for Rio, Scholes and Giggs.. Wonder if that factored into starting with both Giggs and Scholes...

This reminds me of the 99-01 when Fergie usually rested the most important players for the Champions League games.
If that team can't beat Wigan then it's something wrong.

Apparently Anderson said on instagram that he had a small knee problem.

Giggsy and Scholes starting together?

Don't we usually save that for Anfield?

Also expecting Park to be brought back on emergency loan for the game next week.

Hey, he played 2 games in a row and a few in preseason, progress.

Same old Anderson scenario Im afraid.

There haven't been any reports that he has been injured have there? It doesn't make much sense if he isn't injured. He started off the season reasonably well and this would be a good game to have him as an option.
