Manchester United vs. Galatasaray

And the worst thing is people seem to actually listen to what he says...they think that Carrick tackle was a penalty, when it so clearly wasn't, and they seem to think we really have been dominated for 30 minutes. We've had 57% possession, lads, and Valencia's been in acres of space three or four times with plenty of bodies in the box, and he's beaten players for fun at times, the end product's just been off. There's more goals in it for us and it'll be a comfortable win.

And it's been a good game. Enjoy it.

Agree, the way he gets past everyone not only on the right but across the middle as well really liven up the game for me and aside from Kagawa, he's our only other attacking option in the game. Shame about some of his crosses though. Scholes gave away 3 passes that leads to 3 Gala dangerous attacks, one of which nearly gives them a goal. Nani had been awful... but agree again it's been a good game to watch, enjoy it too.

Dwight made the point that if Carrick had gone down, we'd have won the penalty & the keeper would have been sent off.

What do you think?

Been running this over in my head since it happened.

Came to the conclusion I am happy with the outcome as:

1. Guaranteed goal.
2. No gamesmanship involved.
3. 10 players can be a stinker to play against as they run 10 behind the ball rather than a balance attack/defend tactic.

So-so opposition stretch us at home. Not much different from last year.

The sad truth is we're no longer a great side, and despite a couple of good purchases, we didn't solve our problems in the transfer window. We shouldn't be relying on a 38 year old in the centre of the pitch.

What other problems do we have, only outstanding issue we have is Midfield.

Just put it in the goal. Glad Carrick finished it tbh.

Fergie not happy at half time :p

If things get really close later, at least we still have Eboue to rely on.

lucky to be leading. Not sure why we cant get control of the game.

We are playing the Man Utd 4-4-2 toe to toe style, only problem is: every time that we lose the ball the opposition are able to fashion a chance. The formation dictates that and having two immobile central midfielder's just compounds the dynamic. We have been giving the ball away a lot. Contrary to Brwnds opinion, I don't find this to be a good game to watch. I would rather see us look after the ball better and be a lot more slick.

Agreed.

In Niall Quinn's day they played with a burst ball until the ref noticed.
