Liverpool vs. Manchester United

A front 4 of RvP, Kagawa, Nani & Valencia picks itself for me, & many others.

What's up for debate is who plays with Carrick.

Evra/Buttman? Great debut last week, but it was a debut so I think we need to stick with the experience of Evra in such a high profile match.

Think it's suicide to go 2 in the middle. Lag does not have the pace to get back if we get broken against, we need at least 1 of Anderson and Cleverley in there.

Evra's form isnt that good, but he is still far more experienced than Buttner, especially in terms of premier league games. Starting Buttner will be a huge gamble. He should be slowly brought into as Evra's replacement.

I guess kagawa will drop deep from time to time. I think kagawa is great for this situation.

DDG
Rafael Vidic Rio Evra
Valencia Clevs Ando Nani
Kagawa
RVP

Attack! They've only scores 1 goal all season!

Line up I would like to see:

De Gea

Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra

Cleverley - Carrick - Anderson
Nani ------------------- (Nani)
Kagawa

RVP

Line up I expect to see:

De Gea

Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra

Valencia - Scholes - Carrick - Giggs

RVP - Welbeck

I would actually cry if we played that second line up. We'd be slaughtered.

I think in these type of games our lineup seems to suggest that we don't want to lose, rather than enabling us to play to our strengths.

I think we should attack them and be confident that we can outscore them.

I imagine that Kagawa will play deeper to the midfield 2, essentially making a midfield 3.

What was the result again? I don't, he's played twice in the past week and looked off the pace against Galatasaray on wednesday night.
2-1 Liverpool. Was it his fault we lost? No, he was fantastic.

2 + Kagawa, i.e. 3

Kagawa is not in the middle though, he's behind RvP. I've seen numerouse times over the first few games instances where they opposing team rob us of the ball and attack with Kagawa trailing behind trying to get back. Not in a lack of trying kind of way just the fact he doesn't have the pace to go from their 18 yard line to 10 yards inside our half in a matter of seconds. You either play him behind RVP or in the middle. He can't do both.

Possible, but some seem to want him to do this aswel as play in behind RvP, which he won't be able to do, he ain't superman.

Anders Lindegaard just came out on his own to inspect the Anfield pitch. Surely would only do that if he was starting, right?

Absolutely this.

We have tried the cautious approach a few times now - it doesn't work. Let's have a go at them....

I was hoping de gea would start as liverpool probably won't be putting in to many crosses with their approach and strike force and we could use his shot stopping but that does sound like lindegaard will play.

Giggs and Scholes can't both play today, that'd kill us.

Yh but fergie has previous with this. Brought giggs in with scholes, over both young and Valencia against city. I'm hoping giggs doesn't start but I think he'll include one of them and scholes must be tired. Could see giggs in for nani and kagawa going wide though I really hope not.

Not necessarily but if he starts then I'm annoyed. I don't know why Ferguson is still playing that game but it won't do any good for De Gea's confidence and rotating goalkeepers is generally a weird idea.

I think for both teams this is a huge moment in itself. Out big boost to continue at the top ad their chance to kick start their season.

Funny but I am not as defeatist nervous as I usually am.

Liverpool team: Reina, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Allen, Gerrard, Shelvey, Borini, Sterling, Suarez.

Instead of the prematch show, these retards are showing some stupid irani cup, over here.
