He was absolutely rubbish but as Ash said, every single one of our attackers was, difference is that he'd be more likely to create something despite his shitness than some of the others. Baffles me how he went off and a 38 year old Giggs stayed on.

No doubt he'll get a shitload of stick after the match where as Kagawa, RVP and Valencia will get a "sure it was just an off day, never mind."

Yeah expect him to be slated. It made sense to bring Scholes on with them having 10 men, they couldn't press as much giving Scholes more time to calm us down. Think Valencia stayed for his work rate and Giggs because of his experience.

Really poor half, although I had Giggs as even worse. Nani lost the ball with really simple passes, although did make an effort to get back whenever possible, his only real contribution. Giggs was trying to make some of the most elaborate pointless passes in that first half, often to no-one, and then leaving far too much space behind him.

Not sure about that, he was for me worse than our other attackers barring Giggs - Valencia barely touched the ball and gave it away a couple times, but didn't look as shaky, Kagawa was our only real threat and Van Persie was mostly isolated as a result of our inability to pass the ball all first half. All in all though, that first half was just terrible all round for the whole team.

Very bad first half, but he was getting all sorts of abuse in the matchday thread, nobody in the team bar Rio deserved any credit out of that half but everything was directed towards Nani. Definitely the new scapegoat on here.

Yea he was shite but that was a truly dismal performance from pretty much everyone in that first half.

He was poor but as others have said, should have been Giggsy going off to get Scholes on. Never was going to happen though.

Was shite, but so were RVP, Valencia and Giggs in the first half.

I thought Giggs, Van Persie and Valencia were equally as bad. Those 4 were probably the worst of a very bad bunch from the start. The difference is that Nani actually tried to do something.

The others were given the opportunity to improve their performance in the second half though.

Worse, that why he came off.

Or Fergie knew that Scholes against a 10 men Liverpool could turn the game and had to make a decision and chose to keep Valencia on for his work rate and Giggs for his experience. He doesn't usually take Giggs off when he's off his game. Did the same against City last year.

He was awful. But he will be singled out, no doubt. Giggs was abysmal and Kagawa was poor, along with plenty of others.

Don't get why he is being singled out. Everybody gave the ball away. As a whole, the only players who played well were Rafael and Rio.

Nani defenders, seriously ..... his one great game every now and then does not justify him playing for us. Always been infuriating but mixed it up with a moment of genius but that seems to be a fading memory.

Awful start to the season. He wouldn't be playing if Young was fit. We just have to stick with him though. He'll come good eventually.

See some of this is so ott. By far the worst player? He was poor, undoubtedly so by how was he so much worse than the others? He gave the ball away at times but he also carried the ball with some threat. What did Valencia do in that first half? He got forced inside by Johnson and dawdled on the ball as a result. Giggs wasn't linking up well and wasn't getting in to his position well enough allowing Suarez to drop in to space. RVP took up poor positions, showed no real desire and Kagawa played some sloppy passes and didn't do enough to help us out. Evra was very casual on the ball at times.

By far the worst player today.Something has fecked him up psychologically to be this inept and shot

I have always liked Nani so won't rip into him today but he does play and look like a player that knows his time with the club is over.

Worse game he's played in years and i'm a Nani fan. I think he's future with United is over and this is not a knee jerk.

I've actually had enough of him now.

I expect backfire for saying this, but I'm speaking from the heart here. I honestly did think that he wanted to leave, and I think that we denied him leaving simply because the fee Zenit or whoever was offering was too small.

Since I've felt that way, I've noticed he's basically half-arsed every game since. From my perspective, his heart isn't in it anymore and I'm confident he'll be off in January.

I like Nani and I think we'll miss him in the short-term; but when a player doesn't want to be at the club - let him fecking go. He was already a stressful player to watch - this Nani is just a pure blood-pressure-raising-twat; and I'm only 19!

Even if he did want to leave we just can't afford to lose him. We would only have Young and Val left as wingers if he left.

He'll come good again. Everyone of our front 4 was fecking crap today especially in the first half.
He just gets all the stick atm.

Fergie taking him off at half time, when he hardly ever makes subs, is a huge statement to my mind from the manager. I suspect Ferguson was furious with him. Yes others were equally as bad, although I think some putting RVP and Kagawa in that bracket is unfair since they really are the new boys. They need some slack.

It's the fact that he played without any passion at all. Think he wasn't any worse than any of our attackers in the first half, but the fact that he looked so fecking half-arsed.

If Young was fit he'd be ahead of both Valencia and Nani mate. They've both been awful so far this season.

Terrible game from Nani though, one of his worst in a long, long time.

I think it was more that with them going down to 10 Fergie recognized they wouldn't be able to press in the same way and so he could use Scholes to full affect and someone had to make way.

Seems woefully short of the confidence that is his lifeblood. Really needs a big performance and soon.

He was awful today but you always get the feeling he can do something special to change the game. I think he probably would have stayed on if not for the pull out of the challenge near the touch line, that was never going to be tolirated by Ferguson.

I think he will come back to form as the season goes on. People often complain about our creative and goal scoring players but the fact is we need players like Nani, like Rooney, like Van Persie to make and take chances and we are lucky they often do, but they can all at times have bad games it's something we have to except.

RVP doesn't need any slack. He came here being one of the best strikers in the world. Giggs has been getting slack for bad performances for years now and he doesn't have many good ones anymore.

The only reason he came off is because we wanted to try control the game with Scholes sitting deep, and we had the perfect chance with Liverpool being down to ten men. Even then we still struggled and none of our attacking players can walk away and say they done well today. Giggs staying on for the full 90 was just insane.

Agree with that. He also doesn't look particularly bothered to be playing - hope I'm reading that wrongly.

Now you're going too far.

He was one of the best, if not the best, player for us the past couple seasons.
