Manchester United vs Newcastle United

well if Macheda and Bebe cant even make it on the bench for this then they might as well pack their bags and do one right now

Looking forward to seeing Vermijl I think he has a decent chance if he can build up his strength a bit hes a real Denis Irwin style consistent defender

I can't see Newcastle scoring even against our reserve defenders. We'll win 2-0 comfortably

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Generaly speaking though I must say I'm dissapointed neither Petrucci nor Henriquez are in the squad.

4-4-2 with Welbeck on left, or 4-3-3 with Chicha playing as main striker?
What do you think guys?

Tough to call, clev and welbeck could easily go wide, with Rooney and Hernandez up top. Can see fergie wanting to protect the defence more and go for 3 in the middle. I'm not a fan of Hernandez playing wide or as a line striker though.

Great to see fletch back and really glad he's captaining the team, dunno why but always wanted to see him get the armband at some point, hopefully he can wear it again when he's back on top on his game.

Not sure how that side will line up but I'd be happy enough with Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck as front three and Anderson, Clev and Fletcher in the centre of the park. They need games in the middle of the park. On the face of it though looks like an eleven picked to get some match fitness and players playing out of position to make it up. Rooney and Welbeck as the wide players in the front three would be my preference for playing be played out of position and it may be interesting to see how this work with RVP and Rooney in mind.

Any reason why this is a 745 KO? Aren't all our home domestic midweek games at 8 usually?

My predictions are usually a jynx so I'm happy to say this but I bet Rooney has the first touch of Heskey's shin tonight.

Would expect Powell's a certainty to come on from that bench for Fletcher. Also one of Lingard, Brady and King to come on for Rooney.

Good chance for the guys at the back. With all the injuries we have there's a chance for someone to get regular sub roles in the big PL matches.

I really hope we are playing a genuine 4-3-3 but you just know Frogie will be forcing Welbeck or Hernandez to hug the line in his cookie cutter 4-4-2.

Rooney wearing a protective strap on his thigh.

There's no doubt abou' that

What was the ticket prices for tonight? Fair few empty seats.

I'd prefer Fletcher to play more of a holding role, the young lads could do with his influence there rather than on the right. No Carrick on the bench is interesting for when Fletcher will need subbing.

''Anderson, who's been very out of favour over the last 12 months''

Out of favour, injured. Same thing.
