Back Page of the Daily Mail, he's a wonderful talent Nani but he's reaching that stage where he should be maturing but he seems to be regressing in that respect.

I've always believed that he's going to stay with us despite all the contract/getting dropped/negotiation with Zenit issues but if this bust up story is indeed true, I can see him leaving in Jan. Would maybe explain why we were so eager to go after wingers all summer.

So if Nani does go, who do we want as a replacement? Gaitan? Rodriguez?

My cynical side says this story is effectively paving the way for a January move. Replacement? Young is fine IMO.

Muniain  Apparently he and DDG are close.

But seriously I'm not liking this now constant stream of negative Nani stories; I don't want us to lose him :(

Not sure if serious...

Me neither...

It's been a disaster 3 months for Nani it must be said.

He's clearly been put under immense amounts of pressure by the club and has cracked. His playing has been wild and poor from literally the first minute of the season. I'll be surprised if he's still here come February.

That said, I do not understand why we have tried to offload him. All over a bit of a pay raise?

Aye if this is true it's the end of the road for Nani.

Shame really.

It's the Daily Fail, however if this is true then I can't see him being anywhere near the squad tomorrow.

It's not online, but here's the Dailymail backpage.

Young is a good player, a bad Euro's doesn't change that for me at all. Not in Nani's class but you know what you're going to get and hopefully as the season goes on we will become less dependant on our wingers.

Apparently he punched Petrucci in the Gym because he wasn't too happy about a training challenge, it will be interesting to see if Nani starts tomorrow, if he does the Daily Mail are full of shit.

frusteration boiling over definately. Not the first to have a bust up in training, doesnt mean he off although it could if he lets this get to him.

I don't know, I get the idea Nani is a little uptight, from the bit of the 'behind the scenes' footage I've seen.

Either way, I'm sure Fergie will sort it out. I'm a big fan of Nani's, I hope he gets out of his funk, and that he's not looking to leave.

Jesus, please let this be bollox.

Well I've removed him from my line-up game entry. Now I'm conflicted between not wanting it to be true, and actually needing it to be for a point in that stupid game :(

I know it's not a stupid game, I'm just bitter that I'm already quite far behind in it...

He's still the most talented player at United and he's the only player that can produce something extra.

You've seen Scholes through the years?
We have Rooney
Van Persie
Giggs

I think they can all produce somethings extra...

Is it pathetic that the first thought that entered my mind was this will lower his sale value?

It true, this will be a sad end to a somewhat frustrating United career. Showed signs of brilliance but could never do proper justice to his potential and talent. :(

Or this could be the usual bullshit from the mail and Nani would start and put up a scintillating performance against Spurs tonight. :)

If not, James Rodriguez please, we can use a good left footed wide player. Can also play as a number 10.

Nani has bags of talent but he's never consistently put it together for United, save for about half a season before his injury. I'd be sad to see him go because I'd love him to have fulfilled his potential at United but at the end of the day, he's replaceable. Isco, Muniain, Rodriguez are just three names that spring to mind.

It's unfortunate that Nani is in this situation.

We all can only speculate abou the contract but where there is smoke there is fire.

Nani is immensely talented. It's blatantly obvious. We need him. We need that skill and swagger on the ball. Without him we lack flair and the spontaneity to open a game up.

Nani can beat his man so easily. Sure he shoots too often but at least he has the ball to believe in himself to win a game. The current United side lacks belief in itself if you ask me. Besides Rooney, Rafael and Rio, Nani knows that he is good enough to win a game on his own. All the new players need to develop this IMO.

The latest story suggests that's not a problem for him.

According to the Times, the reporter who broke this story has now been banned.

Tbh training ground fights are pretty common from what I've heard. I remember Giggs saying there's often a few fights etc, it's expected really. Didn't someone just say how Keane and someone else were fighting in a hotel or something?

Senior Player punching a Reserve though?

Ive got a feeling Petrucci beat him at table tennis... we've seen how serious they take that !
