CFR Cluj v Manchester United

Ok ever since I said Fletcher's passing looked decent it hasn't turned opposite.
 
That was a good looking corner by Rooney. It was a lovely height, not to quick so as to be driven, but not a floater either. Glided through the air.

Completely useless as a footballing tool but very good looking.
 
Not sure why Cleverley is playing wide left. Doesn't really offer much there.

Anderson probably has to last the whole game.. Will pace himself..
 
Anderson/Clev/Flet work rate is so much higher, and so much better when under pressure.

Rooney has been excellent. He's playing a bit like Cantona - picking it up from deep and then following it forwards.

As controversial a comment as I've seen in the matchday thread this season. And that's saying something.
 
De Gea has not been put to the test in the first half. Lets hope that it will stay like that in second half

Will create chances to win it in the second..
Cluj could try and make the game a bit more exciting.

Cleverley and Rooney are too deep to be playing as strikers.

Also, I'm not saying he could play further forward, just maybe bomb forwards more from the same starting position.
 
I think we've improved in the last 30 minutes.

Somehow got to get past the parked bus now. Cluj have gone a bit shite, but they still look a bit dangerous when the counter through the wings.

Get Kagawa on for hernandez?
 
I can see the potential of this new formation, might work better with Kagawa in for Hernandez and RVP up top. The defence needs to get their shit together, fast. Evra and Evans were poor on that goal, Evra really worries me now. It's getting to a stage where I expect them to get down his side easily and get a cross in.

It's hardly in their interest to do so... if they try take us on in a football match they'll most likely lose... and catching us on the break has worked once for them, so who is to say it won't work a second time?

I never see why people get annoyed by so-called 'negative tactics' ... if I was their manager, I'd be doing the same thing.
 
We have done ok, the goal we conceded was horrific. And since then it's been typical for a game like this.

Not really learning too much, but Cleverley and Rooney have been our best players.
 
Would like Rafael to start pushing up more into the space when it's available. We need more width from the fullbacks.
 
We should use Rafael more as a wide support. Plenty of space in front of him.
