Norwich City vs. Manchester United

Why don't we start Cleverley + Anderson anymore ?
At least there'd be some one touch play through the middle...and some semblance of tempo and urgency.

I've been wondering about that too and the only conclusion I can come to is that Fergie is saving the Clevz/Ando combo for later in the season.

This languid, laid back approach that we seem to have adopted has surely got to be tactical. Its happening far to often these days to be anything else.

It's like going to be a pub on a warm summer afternoon for some cold beer only to be served with flat warm piss. :(

We've played poorly. No real chances, slow and sliggish in attack.

Young and Valencia fecking horrific.

Carrick & Giggs in the middle means we're relying on the wide men to create chances. Valencia's playing way below his usual standards and Young's no better therefore there's feck all threat on their goal. Need someone direct in the middle... Carrick started off as so, seems to have stopped now

Holt is like Bigfoot in a Sports Direct kit.

People can say what they want about him, but we look like a much poorer team without Rooney. RvP must be so bored upfront today, getting very little service.

Any team would look poorer without one of their best players, but we don't help ourselves by choosing a central midfield pairing of Carrick and Giggs and then play two strikers right up top. Why not keep the system the same and have someone play in behind the main striker who also helps link up play? Giggs could and has played that role to good effect in the past. Young can also play there. We're just making it hard for our CM duo and the two strikers to be effectiv.

I know he's injured right now, but nani when fit at least tries to take on his man
Our wingers do absolutely feck all for us these days

It's almost as if Fergie is aware of the problem - reliance on wingers and an insanely sentimental and static CM pairing - but refuses to acknowledge it in case it makes him look bad for persisting with it this long. Instead, he's going to continue to persist with it in every game this season, until it eventually works, whereupon he'll gloat at how he knew it eventually would.

By which point we'll be 9th. Or, if we're really lucky, still up there entirely by virtue of second half comebacks instigated by bringing on someone who wants to do something other than play balls out to the wingers all the fecking time.

Nothing wrong with playing wingers, but Valencia and Young aren't even beating their full backs. The pair of them are in very poor form. Maybe Fergie is letting them play through it but it does look like we haven't got a plan B if things don't go well.

I've just agreed with what Craig fecking burley has said, first time ever, not controlling midfield

Giggs great ball
Van Persie, not sure what he's trying to do
