Manchester United vs. West Ham United

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Carrick
Anderson Cleverley Rooney
Van Persie
Hernandez

Bolded players that should considered first choice every match at this point. I know the last time Hernandez started it didn't end well, and every time he comes off the bench we seem to win..

Nani must be back soon surely? think he deserves a run down the right wing

Valencia might not be involved.

Antonio Valencia missed the victory against Queens Park Rangers due to a hip problem.

The Ecuador winger could also be forced to sit out the visit of another London side, Sam Allardyce's West Ham, on Wednesday night in the Reds' next Barclays Premier League assignment.

"He had a hip injury," the boss revealed to MUTV. "Just towards his back.

"He's had a bit of pain there for the last couple of weeks but he's been playing with it. That's the type of guy he is. He never mentioned it and plays on.

"All of a sudden, you ask him and he says: 'Yes, it's sore.'

"It won't be too long and he should be ready for maybe next week."

------------DDG--------------
Rafa-----Rio----Evans----Evra
-----------Carrick-------------
---Cleverley------Anderson----
-----------Rooney------------
-------RvP-------Hernandez---

Subs: Lindegaard, Smalling, Jones, Scholes, Fletcher, Young, Welbeck.

Nani please.

My XI:
De Gea

Rafa
Rio
Evans
Evra

Nani
Cleverley
Anderson
Welbeck

Rooney
RvP

Fergie's XI:
Lindegaard

Rafa
Rio
Evans
Evra

Young
Carrick
Scholes
Giggs

Rooney
Hernandez

Watching the Spurs goals vs West Ham, we should really play Anderson and Welbeck. They can't defend against people running at them with the ball.

What I'd like to see:

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Carrick
Cleverley Anderson
Rooney
Persie Cheech

What I think we'll see:

De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Young Rooney Welbeck
Persie

Valencia might not be involved.

I'm totally okay with that to be honest.

Also, I have a feeling Fergie may opt for Lindergaard for this one, given West Ham have that big lump playing up front for them now.

Like the team bar one I would put Valencia in instead of cleverly with Anderson in the middle

Really hope Nani will be fit for this one. Boy do we miss him.

I'm expecting to see:

Lindegaard
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
Young Carrick Cleverley Welbeck
Rooney
Van Persie

That's providing Valencia and Nani are out.

Fergie just confirmed that we'll see Anderson start against West Ham.
thought Ando won the game for us," he told MUTV.

"His performance was outstanding. He took the game by the scruff of the neck and he was so positive and determined in his play that he picks himself on Wednesday.

"We'll see what Antonio is like today and tomorrow. Nani is still going to be out [but] Chris Smalling and Phil Jones were on the bench on Saturday and they're available.

"It's good to have them as back-up and in the back four things are much healthier. We've got plenty of options in the midfield and up front – it's just the two wide positions [where we have problems in terms of availability]."

Jones---Smalling--Evans--Evra
-----Carrick---Anderson
Rooney------Cleverley---Welbeck
----------Chicharito

Cleverley was rested for saturday, Anderson was already stated to be starting. RVP hasn't been good enough in recent weeks and Hernandez has. Young doesn't warrant a first team place. Jones and Smalling need games to ease themselves back.

Some strange ones here. RVP left out seems a strong reaction to maybe two games that were average at worst from him (and more fault lies with the dodgy midfields providing no decent service than the striker himself).

Ah, you've just edited Giggs out for Cleverley. That was actually my big moan, so that lineup's not so bad. I don't think they'd end up looking much like that on the pitch though. It would be more of a diamond with Rooney at the tip and Welbeck and Hernandez ahead of him, with Rooney, Anderson, Cleverley and Welbeck sharing responsibility for providing a bit of width when needed.

Lindegaard
Smalling
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra
Carrick

It won't happen but based on form and what not I'd like to see this team:

Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra

Cleverley - Fletcher - Anderson

------------------Rooney
Van Persie
---------Hernandez

With all the sensible Anderson-Carrick/Fletcher-Cleverley line-ups, this is looking painfully like the QPR thread. Let's all predict a Giggs-Scholes midfield in the hope that it works the other way around too.

SAF has said that Ando will start.

Again...this isn't what I want, rather what I expect to see. Giggs playing on Wednesday is good bet given he was left out of the Galatasaray and QPR games.

If Giggs does play on Wednesday, the Caf needs to do all it can to prepare for the worst.

Cleverley - Carrick - Anderson

Think we might go this to cope with areal threat and the fact Jones and Smalling needs games (harsh on Rafael he's been one of the top players this season).

I would like:

De Gea

Rafael Evans Smalling Evra

Anderson Carrick Cleverley

RVP Chicha Rooney

Rio not playing only because he needs rest, while the tactic could be diamond too with Rooney in the hole, while RVP and Chicha up front.

Anyway I expect something like:

Lindegaard

Jones Rio Evans Evra

Young Carrick Giggs Welbeck

Rooney RVP

You actually expect RVP to not play?

Apparently Ando will start according to Fergie. I reckon he will go with the Cleverly and Ando combination

DDG

Jones--Smalling--Evans--Evra

Cleverley--Ando

Rooney

Hernandez--RvP--Young

Has anyone else been dreading this match since our first game of the season? When we were utterly bossed by the more physical long ball approach of Everton, I saw the West Ham match as the next time we'd be up against a side that have a combination of great energy and closing along with long ball tactics to a big strong forward player.

Obviously Carroll is no Fellaini, but with Nolan also up front it will force us to cover at least one of them with a defender who isn't great in the air (Ferdinand no longer is, Smalling bizarrely has never shown to be and Evans can only mark one of them). Coupled with our teeny tiny full backs I genuinely fear the long ball.

Our best hope is (as has been all season) to simply outscore em imo. And given the way they set up and our current injuries/form, I hope Fergie tries to play through the middle more than the wings. Crosses aren't going to bother such a big team, and without Nani and Valencia we might as well not bother with wide players. Bring in the diamond, with Carrick in there for his height, Ando and Clev for energy and Rooney for creativity.

Carrick will start. He's useful at set pieces.
