Manchester United vs. West Ham United

I think we've controlled the first half so far. Ando, RVP and Rafael our best players so far.

I'm happy with 1-0, shoud be 2 but 2-0 is the most dangerous lead in football, so better we keep it at 1-0.

Rooney needs to play further up. Too often is there a big gape between the midfielders and the strikers.

How are we playing guys?

Lack of quality streams is denying me the chance to watch

At times it seems Cleverley is the AM and Rooney is a CDM, should be Rooney supporting the strikers.

These commentators are so clueless. They genuinely can't tell the difference between this performance and our recent poor form.

Yes, we need a goal, and some composure around their goal will bring that. But the football has been exquisite.

Completely agree.

Anderson has been the best player on the pitch by such a wide margin it's embarrassing.

He's clearly been the best player, but it's not like we have been playing like shit.

It's nowt new though, they always decide what the game's going to be like beforehand.

True. This strikes me as the sort of game where, if we stick to our guns, they just won't be able to keep up the intensity required to keep us out, and we could get plenty in the second half.

Decent half. Very solid defensively apart from some long balls because of their size. Rooneys playing a bit too deep IMO which is why we seem to be a bit plain while attacking. One thing though, this seems like the perfect formation and lineup for European away games.

The entire mentality of our play changes with Ando and Cleverley. It's far more entertaining, deadly and effective. More please.

Half time thoughts, so much better than recent games. Ando bossing it, and Rooney is coming too deep, he's not a CM, needs to be higher up, plays his best football when its around the opposition box.

wazza ia centre forward needs to be further up the field.
Again chico starting hasnt worked.

Ando- at last a mid who can inject some pace and positivity.

Controlled the game for the most. But nothing spectacular.

I still dont understand those who cannot stand to see scholes in the side. I think he would have been perfect in this side tonight

Bossed the game but we have been poor with the final ball. West Ham ony dangerous from set pieces.

Not a particularly good performance, but still better than previous weeks. The changes in midfield are making a positive difference and give the team a better platform. Just a shame we haven't used it better.

West Ham are typical a typical SA team. They are fooking massive and well set; looking to hit us long. We have been decent. Rafa is an absolute diamond.

Streams are wank tonight, even with sopcast. I'm gonna watch this on MOTD instead and save the frustration of spending the second half wasting my time clicking 'refresh' every 2 minutes.

Rooney needs to play further up. Too often is there a big gape between the midfielders and the strikers.

Absolutely right. He's also not playing great anyway, and he seems to be in positions better occupied by Anderson and Cleverley (who seems a bit subdued).

Really frustrated because West Ham are ripe for a 4 or 5 goal job, but we just seem to be holding back. It's a great opportunity to add to the goal difference and yet again we appear to be not quite in the mood.

Rafael and Anderson have been our best players. Oh and we really could do with Rooney not playing that deep. Decent half otherwise but look vulnerable on set pieces.

We cant stand to see Scholes in a 442 with out of form wingers. Scholes in a 433 is fine.

Rooney been very poor so far.

Very harsh on Rooney. We need our full backs higher up the pitch, Evra is doing it but Rafael needs to get up higher when we are attacking (he's playing well though otherwise). Plus we are missing someone who can dribble with the ball ala Nani.

If only we had Kagawa to play in Rooney's current postition.

I'd love to see him taking up the positions that Rooney should be occupying tonight. Would provide so much more creativity in that final third of the pitch.
