Reading vs. Manchester United

Smalling coming on for height and the yellow card - performance wise, it should be Evans off

Incredibly harsh to sub him off only half an hour in. If it was a senior player I'm sure SAF would have waited until HT at least.

Harsh on Rafael - arguably at least 3 or 4 other Utd players who deserved to go off more. But then again, he was bound to be sent off so really...

That was poor from fergie, it could have a bad thing in rafaels mentality.

Two things.. one he's on a yellow.. and secondly, the sub adds height to defend against set pieces.

It makes sense.
Rafael is smart enough to get that... maybe at HT.

I don't think he was taken off because he was the weak link in our defense, he was taken off because we needed some additional height in defense considering that we conceded 3 goals from headers and two of those from corner an additional tall man isn't such a bad idea.

First thing I thought when he got the yellow was he'll get a red.

I hope someone explains to him that he wasn't subbed because he was responsible completely for conceding the goals, rather a tactical choice made on the fact he's likely to have been sent off and wasn't having the best time against reading. Also, they dived twice near him so they sense they can get him sent off because they're cnuts.

Why would he sub Evans when Rafael is on a yellow card? fecking common sense.

Thank God 403 rvp

Bit harsh on Rafa. Two of the three FKs he has conceded were dives.

Nah, he had to come off. Can't go to 10 in this since we already need about 15 defenders just to keep it close. And need him next week.

Would have loved to rout them, but we only have to outscore them. Some posters talking as though we're 3-0 down.

Gutted for Rafael, but it had to happen. It looked like one of the old days where you just knew he was going to get himself sent off.
