Manchester United vs. Sunderland

We should really destroy this lot!!! They are very poor at the minute and devoid of any confidence. Probably means we will struggle with a 1-0 win!!

But hopefully we should have these lot well beat by 60 mins and get Vida and Kagawa on for the last 30 to give them some gametime. Start with pretty much the same team as againt City, possibly replace Tony is he has shown any reaction to the last game, but that is it.

Second half vs Norwich and against Chelsea Sunderland played pretty well, they seem to play better when they go a goal down the same as we often do, that should make it interesting. :D

Anything less than absolutely twatting them will be a considerable disappointment.

why does Rooney really want to play them? Im struggling to remember anything with him related to Sunderland atm

Nope... I have no idea what you're refering to Olly.

I think I must have been gardening that day.

Sunderland supporters are even more wanky versions of Geordies.

Hope the tombola is hidden away and we smash them.

Back home down south for christmas from today mate, next game wont be until West Ham in the cup.

You thinking of doing that one?

I'll be up for the Scousers at OT in Jan ofcourse.

Nah not doing West Ham. I was buzzing for the draw as it's my birthday weekend. Away anywhere but London was my cry.

fecking wankers.

is the northeast the grimmest place on earth?

I love Sunderland fans coming to us and singing 'Manchester is a shithole, I wanna go home'

 I hope they are from the leafy parts of Durham then...

because there is no way any cnut from Sunderland can be singing that.

Newcastle, however, is a buzzing place. Love it there for a night out.

I see the sad handful of skyboy cockneys that get on redcafe have linked to this thread. (hello girls btw) One of them had to post asking why Rooney was mentioning Sunderland ffs.

From that Sunderland-forum linked earlier on this page

Hehe going down you clowns.

'Sky boys' hehe. If you all 'support your local team' why is your lovely new ground always half empty? Hehe

Except when united come to town that is. Enjoy your twice a year cup final.

We took the piss just like any other team would have, i wanted you lot to win the title as and i'm not just saying this because i'm on a Man United forum but i've always liked Man United especially compared to the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool! I remember Man United fans taking the piss out of us when we went down, did it bother us? Not really it's football fans taking the piss out of each other, it happens, Sir Alex and Rooney have been pathetic in the way they are acting, stop being so precious.

How has Sir Alex and Rooney been pathetic though? Surely it's understandable that both the players and the manager was left with a bad feeling after the game because we lost out on the league?

Yes, probably all other fans would've done the same but this time it happened to be Sunderland-fans and that moment was bound to create some aggrivation amongst fans and players alike. Hopefully our team will use the emotion created that night to bring out the best of them against your lot, and against all other teams for that matter.

I hardly think it's pathetic by anyone. Sunderland-fans did whatever any other set of fans would've done and Fergie is using a certain situation to hopefully create some motivation for his players thus creating the emotion expressed by Rooney.

No-one actually cares about your club - don't worry.

But the YAWN and poznan just highlight what little joy your fans have to cling on too.

Amuse yourselves on Saturday as you wish.

There's a difference between 'taking the piss' and celebrating when you lost a match. We took this piss when you went down because we're football fans, and all football fans are to some extent wankers. But celebrating a loss is just pathetic, and you'll never see a United supporter do that, ever. Even if it somehow meant Liverpool being relegated, or City not winning the title.

If we were in Sunderlands shoes, playing Liverpool who have just been denied the title, I think I would celebrate to be honest, even if we did lose.

If were playing Liverpool, and denied them the title, I imagine there'd be cheering. In fact, there'd definitely be cheering. We cheer when City drop points these days.

Same would apply to Leeds or City, but Sunderland? Who the feck are Sunderland?

Young for Danny id say

Yes was thinking that he played well against City, Just like to see Welbeck getting game time.

Ideally I want to see Nani getting back in the line up but I'm starting to think that is never going to happen.

Do we think Rooney will play? Also, no need to waste time on a small, minor club such as Sunderland. Let their fans talk, they'll forever be a small club.
